Lando's POV

Knox actually agreed to take a walk at the beach with me.
Saw the hesitation in her eyes when I asked her to watch a movie together.

Didn't really think about it either. Maybe that was a step too far for now.

But unfortunately, I still didn't know what he friend's name was.

Asked George as well, but he just laughed as if I was making a joke.

I put a lot of effort in my outfit. Bambi's friend was right, I didn't know a lot about Knox, but I definitely knew what kind of clothes she liked on me.

Preferably no shirt at all, was a sucker for my chest.

I obviously had to wear a shirt, so I decided to unbutton the top buttons.

Knocked on her door and not much later, she opened it, looking as beautiful as ever.

Wanted to push her inside and kiss the living shit out of her.

But instead, I smiled. "You're looking beautiful"

"Thanks, you look..-" she looked at me. "handsome"

She cleared her throat, closed the door behind her and looked at me. "Let's go?"

So that's what we did, we walked down the beach, her hand touched mine from time to time.

We sat down together on the sand, just looking at the waves and enjoying the sound of it.

Her face softened, there was even a little smile on her face.

I absolutely love her face, she was so gorgeous.

"What does your tattoo mean?" I pointed at the tattoo on the side of her hand.

A rose, which covered a small part of her hand and wrist.

She looked at it. "It was my mom's favorite flower"

Was. Past tense.

"What happened?" I asked softly.

"She died a couple of years ago"

Fuck, was that what Bambi's friend meant? That I didn't know the meaning of her tattoos.

Not knowing the meaning of them, also meant I didn't know about this part of her life.

"I am sorry" I whispered.

She shrugged. "It's okay, still miss her but she's with me wherever I go"

"She would be proud of you" I said, and I meant it.

She nodded a little, putting her hands on her arms.

"Didn't expect it to be so windy here" she chuckled. "Which is pretty stupid because it's the beach so yeah it's obviously windy at a beach.."

She was overtalking.

Which was a great thing.

"You can have my jacket if you want?" I said, already taking my jacket off and giving it to her.

"Thanks Lando" she smiled, putting it on.

"She cheated on me, you know" I said, without thinking, but I had a feeling she would finally listen, maybe even believe me.

She turned her head to me. "Who?"

"Alexia, I never cheated on her. She lied to you"

"Hmm" she nodded.

"And I never cheated on you with Keeley" I added, already suspecting she would care about that more.

"You didn't?"

"No, I was completely in love with you. Didn't even think about other girls, let alone about Keeley"

She looked down at the sand, put her fingers through it. "And I never used you to go to Mclaren"

Already knew that.

"You were in love with me?" She looked up again, those Bambi eyes looking in mine again.

"Still am" I shrugged.

She didn't say anything else to that. Just sighed a little.

But I didn't regret telling her, felt as if I could at least be honest with her, even if she wasn't in love with me anymore.

And honestly, it was a beautiful evening, all because of her.
