Forest

I once heard the saying "Never fall in love with the same person. It's like being in a forest, if you pass the same tree, you're lost."
I agree. I cannot love you again, my heart has been broken and tattered.
The truth is torn and skewed.
Shredded and borrowed my love for you was like none other, much stronger than anything I had ever known. But you my dear, are my tree. I've passed you more than once. We long forgot the taste of our saps intertwined and my leaves no longer reach out for yours. The cuts in my roots and the loss of sap from my trunk is more than enough to know when it's time to kiss our final goodbye. We did that. I will grow up, far to the sun while I remember our sweet sorrows and poison words. Goodbye my tree, I don't want to pass you again. I'm sorry.

This is the one I haven't wanted to share, knowing we were all too fragile and attached, but every "good" thing...needs a place to rest. Knowing that these words, make it so much more real.
