It was around lunch time when Peter Parker, AKA Spider-Man, was having a chat with J. Jonah Jameson (voiced by JK Simmons), the boss of the Gotham city news paper. The reason Peter was with him was that he has a part time job as someone to get pictures for the newspaper about Batman and Spider-Man. Jameson: "Well Parker, you somehow managed to get a good photo of these Spider-man & Batman menaces, which are good enough for the papers." Peter: "I don't know if they are really a menace, as they took down both the Joker & the Green Goblin." Jameson: "And yet those two managed to escape, and while I might not like people wearing masks, they seemed to be the only thing people in this town want to read about these days." Peter: "Can you blame them, they were kind of awesome." Jameson: "You and most of the folks here might believe that, but I know better." Peter: "You got a good reason why you don't like people with masks?" Jameson: "Let's just say... it was those kind of people that took my wife away..." said J. Jonah Jameson in a soft sad tone in his voice, which made Peter to feel sorry for him, before putting his hand on the man's shoulder. Peter: "I'm sorry." Jameson: "Yeah, but let's not focus on that right now, I just got word that a new villain has shown up in Gotham." Peter: "Really?, any clue who he is?" Jameson: "Noun so far, but he seems to have a habit of stealing birds from the zoo." Peter: "Birds?, maybe a poacher?" Jameson: "That's a possibility, but some of the witnesses say that he was dressed up like a penguin." Peter: "So are we dealing with a villain named penguin man?" Jameson: "I hope not, as this town already has two menaces who are named after some animals." sometime later, Peter went to the Bat cave to tell Bruce Wayne, AKA Batman, about what he heard from Jameson. Bruce: "I did heard of a report of that not too long ago, and I managed to get the computer to get an image of the culprit." Peter: "So who is he?" Bruce: "According to the data, it was most likely a man named Oswald Cobblepot, who was born with hands that had his fingers fused together with only his thumb free like old fashioned mittens, and always had a thing for birds, including penguins." Peter: "Anything else?" Bruce: "He used to work as a zookeeper for penguins, until one day he he got fired after he made a violent scene on a guest for making fun of his hands, and has not been seen since." Peter: "Until now as it seems." that was when Alfred came to the scene. Alfred: "I see that you two are getting along a little better." Bruce: "Don't get the wrong, we're only working together as we both are crime fighters now, and it's to make sure of keeping on him as he knows our secret." Peter: "You're not the type who likes to make friends with a lot of people, huh?" Alfred: "It's no surprise, as he believes that if he tries to make new friends or a new family, he would lose them like his parents." Bruce: "That's not true and you know it." Alfred: "Well that's what it looks like to me." Peter: "Man, it looks like I'm know a lot of people who had lost their loved ones in this town." Alfred: "Meaning?" Peter: "Well I learned that J. Jonah Jameson is not a fan of people with masks due to one taking the life of his wife." Bruce: "Yes, I've heard about the incident, and I've been searching for the killer for some time now." Peter: "Good to hear, but lets focus on this Oswald guy right now." Bruce: "Yes, and I might have an idea where he might be." Peter: "Which is..." Bruce: "When I went to the zoo where the stolen birds were, I found a list that might be his." Peter: "How so?" Bruce: "Well it had the names of the birds that were stolen, but the list itself has a clue to where he might be." Alfred: "Really?, what would that be?" Bruce: "There was the logo for the Chilly Penguin Nick Knack factory." Peter: "But hasn't that place been closed down for years now?" Bruce: "Exactly, which is the perfect hiding place for someone like him." Alfred: "Makes sense, an abandoned penguin themed factory is perfect for a man with a love for birds." it was not long before Bruce & Peter put on their costumes, before seeing a bat themed car in front of them, much to the spider themed super hero's amazement. Spider-Man: "Whoa!, now that's what I call a ride!" Batman: "Don't touch anything." Spider-Man: "Oh come on, I'm not a little kid, I know not to touch every button I see in a really awesome car like this one." Batman: "You better not, unless you want to get yourself ejected out into the sky." Spider-Man: "Right, noted." once that was done, they got into the bat themed car, known as the Bat mobile, and drove off to find the bird thief. It was near sun down when they arrived to the abandoned factory, and went inside to begin their search for the villain. Spider-Man: "So far no sign of this Oswald guy, or the birds he took." Batman: "They must be somewhere in a part of the building that a lot of people don't normally go to." Spider-Man: "Like where?, people don't normally come here anymore as it's currently abandoned." Batman: "I meant somewhere that people but don't notice in case if someone comes to search for a criminal, like a secret room." Spider-Man: "Okay, now if I were a bird lover villain who has a secret room in an abandoned factory... where would I put it?" he asked to himself, before sat on a box, which suddenly went lower to the ground and a secret door was opened. Batman: "Most likely there as it seems." it was not long before they got inside, and see that there was a lot of cages that all have the birds that were stolen from the zoo. Suddenly, a fat man in a tuxedo, with an umbrella in his four finger fused hands, came to the scene. It was in fact Oswald Cobblepot (voiced by Paul H Williams) himself, and he was looking at the heroes. Oswald: "Well well, if it isn't the Batman & Spider-Man duo, the ones who tangled with the Joker & Green Goblin some a few nights ago, I'm impressed that you managed to figure out where my hideout was, but this is where the road ends for you." Spider-Man: "Oh yeah?, in case you didn't noticed, there's two of us and only one of you." Oswald: "Oh really?" said the villain, before he used his umbrella to press a button on the wall, which opened another door that let in a bunch of thugs, ready to fight the heroes. Oswald: "I do believe that the numbers are in my favor." Batman: "What do you plan with the birds, Cobblepot?" Oswald: "Well since you're about to meet your end, I might as well tell you, I'm gonna take them to my own bird themed zoo, where I will train them to help me with my operations of teaching the people of Gotham a lesson on making fun of my hands and the birds I adore, which are the ones I named myself after... which is the Penguin." this made Spider-Man to giggle a bit. Spider-Man: "That figures, since you look much like a penguin." Batman: "Not now Spider-Man, we need to stop him before he hurts someone." Spider-Man: "Yeah, and I got a feeling that I know who's gonna get hurt first." Penguin: "Alright boys, ice them." said the Penguin, before his goons were pointing what looked like freeze ray guns at the heroes, and start firing freeze rays at the heroes, who barely managed to dodge them just in the nick of time. Spider-Man: "Oh I get it now, ice, that's funny there." Batman: "I don't know which is worse, the weapons or the puns..." said Batman, before he went to throw some punches on the goons, while Spider-Man uses his webs to tie them up, and then does the same for the Penguin, who was now struggling to break free but failed. Penguin: "Curse you Batman!, and you too Spider-Man!" it was not long before the cops arrived and arrested Penguin and his goons, while the Commissioner comes over to the heroes. Commissioner Gordon: "Nice work you two, I just hope that this guy doesn't get away as easily as the Joker and Goblin did." Spider-Man: "That's what I'm hoping too, and speaking of which, any word about their whereabouts?" Commissioner Gordon: "Afraid not, but I'll let you two know if I get anything." that was when Bullock came to the scene. Bullock: "Hold on, you can't really allowing these guys to do our job, right?" Commissioner Gordon: "We'll need all the help we can get to catch those two, as they're so far the most dangerous criminals here in Gotham." Batman: "Thank you." said Batman, before he and Spider-Man left the scene and head back to the Bat cave. That was when Spider-Man takes a look at his watch and made a deep sighed. Spider-Man: "I better get home, Aunt May will be wondering where I am." Batman: "So she doesn't know about your secret?" Spider-Man: "No, which might be a good thing, as I don't know how she'll react if she finds out about what I do at night." Batman: "Then I guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow." Spider-Man: "I guess so." so with that, Spider-Man uses his webs to swing himself away from the Bat cave and head off to home.
