Batman and Spider-Man

The Bat & The Spider

It was a dark a spooky night in the city of Gotham, when a band of crooks were breaking into some chemical plant, unaware that they were being watched by Bruce Wayne (voiced by Kevin Conroy), or Batman, at the moment. Batman: "So... my first night as Batman shall be dealing with these scoundrels." he said to himself, before using a grappling line to get down from the building he was on top of. On the other side of the plant, Peter Parker (voiced by Drake Bell) or at the moment, Spider-Man, had his eyes on the same crooks. Spider-Man: "I can understand crooks stealing money, but chemicals?, well either way, better webbed these guys quick." said Spider-Man, before using his web shooting powers to swing himself towards the plant. The crooks were about to make their move, when Batman came to the scene, and the sight of him struck fear into their hearts. That was when Batman sees the leader of the gang, who he recognized as Jack Napier (voiced by Mark Hamill), or to the Batman... the man who took away his parents when he was a boy. Batman: "You..." said Batman with a low yet angry tone in his voice, which made Jack very nervous. Jack: "W-w-who are you?!" Batman: "... I'm Batman." said the Batman, before he started fighting Jack's gang, who were no match for the Dark Knight. Jack climbed up a ladder before he runs into Spider-Man. Jack: "What the?!, another freak?!" Spider-Man: "Freak?, actually I would be your friendly neighborhood Spider-man... wait, another freak?" that was when Batman came up and he was not expecting to see another rookie super hero like him. Batman: "Who are you?, and what are you doing here?" Spider-Man: "Name's Spider-Man, and who might you be?" Batman: "I am Batman, and if you don't mind, get out of my way and let me handle this low life." Spider-Man: "What?, I'm not allowed to capture bad guys or something?" Batman: "This isn't a job for kids." Spider-Man: "Hey, for your information, I'm in my teens." Batman: "Doesn't matter, this man is mine." while the two heroes argue, Jack tried to make a run for it, only to find that his legs were tied up in some webs. Spider-Man: "Don't even think about getting away, as you're right now in a sticky situation, get it?" Batman didn't laugh nor looked like he liked that pun as there was a moment of silence. Spider-Man: "Uh... not much of a laughing type, huh?" asked Spider-Man, before he and Batman noticed that Jack was trying to free himself, only to get himself fall over the edge and landed into a tank full of green chemicals, much to the heroes' shock. Spider-Man: "Uh oh... is he dead?" Batman: "He better not be... as much as I hate him... I'm won't go as far as killing him." Spider-Man: "Funny, I'm not the killing type myself." suddenly, they see Jack coming out of the green chemicals, but his skin was now white and his hair was turned green while his lips were red. It's as if he got turned into some sort of clown version of himself. Suddenly, Jack started to make a crazy laugh that made both Spider-Man & Batman feel uneasy. Jack: "My that was a funny pun you made there about putting webs on me... let me show you mine... in your grave." said the now clown man, before he points a gun at the heroes, who could only dodge as much as possible from the bullets. Spider-man: "If you want to be a clown, at least make jokes that are actually funny, you Joker!" the clown man heard that, and an idea came to his head. Jack: "Say... I like that, from now on, call me... The Joker!" announced the newly named Joker, as he continues to fire bullets from his gun at the heroes. Spider-Man: "Whoa, once he got the new makeover, he just went crazy." Batman: "The chemicals must have messed up his brain, driven him to insanity." Spider-Man: "Yeah, I can surly see that, got a plan?" Batman: "Once his gun runs dry, we make a move." Spider-Man: "Yeah that can work." so they waited until the Joker's gun ran out of bullets, and that was when the two heroes threw a punch on the clown's face to knock him out cold. Batman: "He'll be out for a while, at least that's what I'm hoping anyway." that was when they hear the sound of police sirens coming to the plant, and knew that it was time for them to leave. Once the two heroes left the scene, the police came and found the Joker tied up in web. The cops couldn't help but wondered what happened as the heroes left the plant and landed on top of a building. Spider-Man: "Boy, we were some team huh?" Batman: "Don't get used to it kid, I work alone." Spider-Man: "Hey come on, you gotta admit we did pretty good together." Batman: "Don't think that it'll be a regular event, now I'll let you off the hook for now, but in the future, stay out of my way." said the Batman, before he used his bat grappling hook to swing himself away from the scene, leaving Spider-Man to watch the horizon of Gotham all alone.
