After dealing with the newly named Joker, Batman went back to his lair, the Bat cave, to see that Alfred (voiced by Efrem Zimbalist Jr), the butler, has his dinner ready. Alfred: "So how was your night?" Batman: "Well for starters, I ran into the man who took my parents away." this got Alfred's attention for sure. Alfred: "Really?, did you put him behind bars?" Batman: "Sort of... he fell into a tank of chemicals that altered his appearance of some clown and made him go insane, he now calls himself the Joker." Alfred: "A clown based villain?, how original." Batman: "Not only that, it seems that there is another new crime fighter in Gotham, calls himself Spider-Man." Alfred: "And that's not a good thing?" Batman: "He's not ready for fighting dangerous criminals like the Joker." Alfred: "And yet you go fight them." Batman: "I'm an adult." Alfred: "True, but you're still a young man, and besides, it wouldn't hurt to have help from a fellow crime fighter." little did Batman or Alfred knew at the moment was that Spider-Man was hiding in the corner of the cave, as he followed the dark knight to know more about him. When he tried to get a closer look, he tripped on a rock, alerting Batman and Alfred, who sees the web warrior on the ground. Spider-Man: "Uh... hey there." Batman: "What are you doing here?" Spider-Man: "What?, I followed you here to let you know that the clown guy just got away from the cops, and by the way, nice cave you got here Mr Wayne." this made Batman's eyes widened in shock, not only did he learned that the Joker escaped, but somehow, Spider-Man knew who he really is." Batman: "How did you know about who I am?" Spider-Man: "Well this place is under Wayne Manor, and I heard you talking about the clown killing your parents, so it didn't take long to put the pieces together." Alfred: "You're quite smart, young man." Spider-Man: "Well I am a grade A student at my school, and since I know your identity, it's only fair you should know mine." said Spider-Man, before taking his mask off, showing Batman and Alfred his face. Peter: "Name's Parker, Peter Parker, nice to meet ya." Batman: "Alright, we both know each others identity now, but you better keep them a secret, for both our sakes." Peter: "I'm fully aware of that." that was when the Bat cave's large computer began to beep, alerting the heroes and butler that trouble was brewing in Gotham again. Alfred: "The computer says that some man in a goblin costume is flying around the Gotham city bank in some glider." Peter: "Goblin... so he's back..." said Peter, in a soft and angry tone in his voice, before putting his mask back on. Batman: "So you know who he is?" Spider-Man: "Sort of... he's the guy who took my uncle's life away, like how you lost your parents to that clown guy." Batman: "I see... so does that mean you're planning on going after him?" Spider-Man: "I outta, as I'm a crime fighter now, and that job involves kicking bad guys." Batman: "You do realize that this is my city, so it's my job to stop them." Spider-Man: "I might be younger than you, but I'm still old enough to fight crime." Batman: "You nearly got shot by the Joker." Spider-Man: "Yeah well so were you, and it took both of us working together to stop him." Alfred: "I hate to interrupt your moment here, but shouldn't you two be stopping this Goblin fellow by now?" Batman/Spider-Man: "Fine." so with that, the two crime fighters went out of the cave and off to the city bank. Once they got there, the Green Goblin (voiced by Steve Blum), came to the scene while riding on his glider and holding a sack full of money in his hand. Goblin: "Well now, what have we here?, kind of early for Halloween eh?" Batman: "We could say the same about you." Goblin: "Fair enough, now if you don't mind, I have plans with this money." Spider-Man: "Sorry, but that doesn't belong to you, and I have a score to settle with you." Goblin: "Oh?, and what would that be?" Spider-Man: "As if I would tell you." Goblin: "Doesn't matter, my partner and I need to get going." Batman: "Partner?" asked Batman, before a little hand grenade was thrown to the ground and it released some sort of laughing gas that made some cops to pass out from laughter. It was not long before the Joker came to the scene, much to the heroes surprise. Joker: "What's the matter?, surprised to see me?" Spider-Man: "A clown and a goblin... well I guess that makes sense since that's the title of this chapter here." Batman: "What are you talking about?" Spider-Man: "Something that you might not understand as you got no sense of humor." Joker: "For now maybe, but let's see if this will tickle your funny bone." said the Joker, before throwing another laughing gas grenade at the heroes, who managed to avoid it just in time. Goblin: "You're both out of your league." Batman: "Don't be so certain." Spider-Man: "Yeah, I've been practicing with my abilities for a while now." Joker: "Oh really?, let's see if it can help you from these." said the Joker, before throwing a bag full of what looked like marbles, which suddenly started to explode when they touched each other. Spider-Man: "Exploding marbles?!" Batman: "It seems that with the Joker, expect the unexpected." Goblin: "You know, I have a love for Halloween myself... trick or treat!" said the Green Goblin, before he starts throwing some bombs that looked like pumpkins at the heroes. Spider-Man: "Now that's the kind of candy I don't want to have for this year's Halloween." as the fight continues, Batman used one of his bat boomerangs to free some of the captured cops from the ropes that the Joker and Green Goblin used to tie them up with. It was not long before Spider-Man used his webs to catch Goblin's glider, and starts swinging it and the villain riding it around and around until the web warrior lets go and the Green Goblin crashes right into the Joker. While they were down, Batman ties up the villains so they can't escape again. Once the villains were in custody, Commissioner Gordon (voiced by Bob Hastings), and Detective Harvey Bullock (voiced by Robert Costanzo), came up to the heroes. Commissioner Gordon: "Nice work you two." Bullock: "Hey come on, we were doing fine before these wackos showed up." Spider-Man: "It didn't looked like that to me." Commissioner: "Don't mind Bullock, he's not the easiest guy to hang with, but he is a good cop at heart." Batman: "Good to hear, as this city will need a good cop." Spider-Man: "And a few other things too." said the heroes, before they left the scene, leaving the cops to take the villains to prison. Unfortunately, there was no sign of either the Joker or the Green Goblin, and the ropes they were tied up in were broken. Bullock: "Oh come on!, what kind of ropes are these?!, they shouldn't have gotten away that easy!" Commissioner Gordon: "Something tells me that we're gonna need that Batman & Spider-Man more often in the future." said the commissioner, while looking at the night sky of Gotham city.
