The Laughing Fish

It was dark & rainy when a fishing boat was collecting some fish in a net, when they were shocked to see that the fish had the same color and smile of the Joker. The news of the fish in Gotham waters spread like wild fire, and it didn't take long for the city's heroes to find out about it. Bruce had one of the Joker fish on a tray to do a little dissection to learn more about the cause of it's change. Alfred: "Looks like our old clown friend is making his move again... but why turning the fish into himself?" Bruce: "Well he's not out to poison people, as the toxin that did this only effects fish." that was when Peter and the others came to the scene. Peter: "Maybe he's trying to make us sick from disgust." Bruce: "Most criminals have a logical motive... but with the Joker's madness, it seems his plans only make sense to him." Peter: "Yeah, it does seem really fishy if it was not the Joker's work." Gwen: "Peter, Really?" Peter: "What, I thought it was funny." Barbra: "This might not be related, but I just got word that some penguins in the Gotham zoo are missing." Gwen: "When did that happen?" Barbra: "The same night these joker fish first appeared." Bruce: "Hmm... that might be the work of the Penguin." Gwen: "The birds are stealing themselves?" Peter: "No, he means that guy who was dressed up in a tuxedo who has a thing for birds, but he's in jail." Bruce: "Was, I heard that a few nights ago that he got out, there's a chance that we might have to deal with both the Joker & the Penguin." sometime later, the cops were standing next to what looked like a pair of modified search lights that were projecting a signal on the clouds. The first one had an embalm of a bat while the second was of a spider. It was not long before the heroes of Gotham came to the scene. Batman: "I see that you got some new toys." Commissioner Gordon: "Thought that they might come in handy." Spider-Man: "I'm guessing you're calling us about the fish?" Commissioner Gordon: "You got it, any sign of that clown?" Ghost-Spider: "Not yet, but I wouldn't be surprised that he'll turn up sooner or later." Batgirl: "And I'll bet that this Oswald Cobblepot person I've heard about is behind the missing penguins from the zoo." Commissioner Gordon: "Yeah, I was thinking the same thing." that was when Ghost-Spider noticed that someone was missing. Ghost-Spider: "Hey where's that Bullock guy?" Commissioner Gordon: "He said that he might have found a lead on where the Joker might be hiding." Spider-Man: "Really?, how?" Commissioner Gordon: "He found a Joker fish that was not native to the waters here, which might mean Joker might be at the aquarium." Spider-Man: "Then what are we waiting for?, we better back him up." so with that, the heroes & the police were on their way to the Gotham city aquarium, and it was not long before they found Bullock all tied up to a chair. Standing in front of him was both the Joker & the Penguin themselves. Penguin: "Well if it isn't the Batman and Spider-Man... I see that you have some girlfriends now." Spider-Man: "Whoa there, we're just friends, that all, really." Ghost-Spider: "Yeah... friends." Batgirl: "You must be the Penguin I heard about." Penguin: "Indeed, then I'm sure that you heard about what I can do." said the Penguin, before pointing his umbrella at the group, which started to shook bullets out from the tip, much to everyone's surprise. Spider-Man: "What the?!, he's got a gun umbrella?!" Ghost-Spider: "I'm guessing that's a new one." Spider-Man: "Yup." Batman: "Well we can't let that stop us." Batgirl: "Not to mention that we gotta deal with that clown too." Joker: "Or how about you deal with my shark?, he's got my smile if you hadn't noticed." said the Joker, before using a hammer to beak the glass, freeing the shark from it's tank, which of course didn't do much aside from chomping the air with it's jaws and flopping around on the ground. Penguin: "You idiot!, sharks can't do much on land!" Joker: "Oops, my bad." Spider-Man: "So what's with the fish?" Joker: "Well I thought about doing a little business of selling fish based on me, while Penguin here wanted to use the fish to make mind control food on the penguins he stole from the zoo." Spider-Man: "Mind control food?, well I guess that explains why you two have teamed up." Penguin: "And this time, I came more prepared." said the Penguin, before a sword popped out of the tip of his umbrella and tries to slash Batman with it, but keeps missing. Spider-Man: "No way!, it's a sword umbrella too?!, where did he get an umbrella like that?" Penguin: "I made it myself." suddenly, the Penguin's umbrella was kicked away by the invisible Ghost-Spider, before Batgirl punches the villain on the stomach, causing him to fall over. The Joker tries to make a run for it, with Batman chasing him. Joker: "You won't catch me this, bat boy!" said the Joker, before he jumped into the water, and was now being chased by a shark. Spider-Man: "Looks like he's about to become fish food himself." Batman: "Maybe..." that was when they heard the sound of Harley Quinn crying, mourning for believing that Joker is gone forever. Harley: "Oh my poor... poor pudding..." Bullock: "I can't believe there could be someone that would love that kook..." said Bullock in disbelief. sometime later, once the cops take Harley & the Penguin away, and returning the real penguins to the zoo, the heroes of Gotham and the Commissioner were looking at the ocean. Commissioner Gordon: "So do you think that the Joker's gone for good this time?" Batman: "I'm not into having the thought people getting killed, villain or not, and somehow I have a feeling we'll see him again." said the Batman, as the sound of Joker's laughter was heard through the waves.
