It was close to sun down when Peter & Gwen finally made it home, only to find that the front door was broken down, much to their shock. Peter: "Oh no... Aunt May!" said Peter, before he and Gwen went inside the house to see if Aunt May was okay, only to find that she was nowhere to be found. Gwen: "Something happened here..." Peter: "Yeah I think the broken door already told us that." that was when Batman and Batgirl came to the scene, with concern looks on their faces. Batman: "Someone got a hold on Alfred." Batgirl: "The same would go for my dad, well this dimension's version of him anyway." Gwen: "Hey guys... I found this note..." said Gwen, holding a piece of paper that said 'meet me and my team at Arkham tonight, or the people you love will be lost forever, signed G G'. Peter: "G G?, what does that mean..." Gwen: "The Green Goblin no doubt..." Batman: "This could only mean one thing... he knows who we are..." Batgirl: "But how?" Peter: "Let's go to Arkham and find out... and if we're lucky... this could be the night where Goblin is finally gonna pay for his crimes." so with that, the teens went into their costumes and soon arrived in Arkham with the Bat duo. Now Arkham was the name of the main prison of Gotham, holding the city's most dangerous criminals, like Dr Octopus and his mutants for examples. It was not long before the heroes find their loved ones tied up to some chairs, along with Green Goblin, Joker, Harley Quinn, Penguin, Dr Octopus & his mutants as well. Green Goblin: "Well if it isn't our old friends, Spider-Man and Batman... or should I say Peter Parker & Bruce Wayne." Spider-Man: "How did you know who we were?" Green Goblin: "While Venom was on me, I saw the memories of the previous person he took over, and that was you, I'll admit that I was surprised at first, but the more I thought of it, the more it made sense, my son Harry did say you had a liking to spiders." Spider-Man: "Harry... wait... Mr Norman Osborn?!" Dr Octopus: "Not anymore, my formula transformed him into the being he is today." Ghost-Spider: "You're a real sicko." Joker: "And I never thought that the son of the loser Wayne couple would become a real thorn on my side." Batman: "Don't you dare call them losers!, now let go of Alfred and the others or else!" Harley: "Or else what?, as long as we have them, you can't do anything without harming them." Aunt May: "Peter!, forget about me!, save yourself!" Spider-Man: "No... I can't lose you like how I lost Uncle Ben..." Penguin: "How touching, you're willing to surrender when we have someone important to you." little did the heroes or villains knew at the moment, that Commissioner Gordon was able to free himself from his ropes and secretly gave each other hostages a little knife to cut their ropes without anyone noticing. Joker: "Now, will you surrender or lose your loved ones lives?" Commissioner Gordon: "How about neither!" said the Commissioner, before punching the Joker in the face, while Alfred and Aunt May threw their chairs at some of the villains, much to the heroes' surprise. Spider-Man: "What just happened?" Commissioner Gordon: "I didn't became commissioner without knowing how to free myself from being tied up." Batgirl: "So... you know who we are now, huh?" Commissioner Gordon: "Yeah, but that's no big deal... I'm just happy to see my little girl's face again." Aunt May: "And I'm happy that my nephew is using his powers for good." Spider-Man: "Well like Uncle Ben once said, with great power, comes great responsibility." Alfred: "By the way sir, what will we do now that these people know our little secret?" Batman: "We'll worry about that later, right now we need to deal with them." said Batman, pointing at the villains who got back on their feet. Joker: "Well this is some joke, and yet I'm not laughing..." Batgirl: "Not that you ever had a good joke to laugh about to begin with." Spider-Man: "Ha!, good one." Green Goblin: "Well we'll be the ones laughing once we finish you off." Batman: "You get Alfred and the others out of here, I'll deal with Joker." Spider-Man: "Hold on, I got a score to settle with Goblin, and that has not changed." Batman: "Even if that man was the father of your best friend?" Spider-Man: "That man died the moment he became the Green Goblin." that was when Dr Connors came to the scene, holding what looked like a small vial with some pink goo inside. Dr Connors: "Spider-Man, Batman!, thank goodness I found you, we don't have much time, you have to get Green Goblin to drink this!" Green Goblin: "As if I would let you do that." before the Green Goblin could make a move, Ghost-Spider used her powers to move the good doctor away just in the nick of time. Ghost-Spider: "I'm guessing it's something that will stop the Goblin?" Dr Connors: "Yes, it's an antidote to the Goblin formula that Octavius used on the Green Goblin, if he drinks this, he'll turn back into a human, and have no memory of being a goblin." Spider-Man: "I hope it works." so the heroes went into battle, which was no doubt the toughest one they ever had yet, due to almost all the mega villains of Gotham were fighting at the same time. But thanks to the extra help from their allies, most of the villains were defeated, leaving only the Joker & Green Goblin remaining. Spider-Man: "Alright, it's time to end this once and for all." Green Goblin: "I couldn't agree more." Joker: "You just don't know when to quit, do you?" Batman: "Not if it means you can't hurt any more lives in Gotham or anywhere for that matter." so they went to battle, and it was tough thanks to the Goblin's glider and some laughing gas bombs. But eventually they managed to take them down to the ground, and Dr Connors gave the vial to Spider-Man when the Green Goblin said some final words. Green Goblin: "We all wear masks, Spider-Man... but which one is real?, the one that hides your face, or the one that is your face?" Spider-Man: "Well if you ask me... they're both real." said Spider-Man, before forcing Green Goblin to drink the potion in the vial, which made him to change back into Norman Osborn (voiced by Alan Rachins), the father of Harry Osborn, best friend of Peter Parker. Norman: "Uh... what happened?, and who are you?" Spider-Man: "Who me?, I'm just your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man." Ghost-Spider: "I'm Ghost-Spider." Batgirl: "I'm Batgirl." Norman: "And you?" asked Norman, pointing at the male bat hero. Batman: "... I'm Batman." Dr Connors: "Mr Osborn, thank goodness you're okay." Norman: "Wait... where's Harry?, is he okay?" Batman: "Don't worry, your son's alright, he's been watching over your company while you were gone." Norman: "Really?... my little boy became a man... how about that..." Dr Connors: "Come on, your son is waiting for you." said the good doc, before he helps Norman get out of Arkham, while the Commissioner comes over to the heroes. Commissioner Gordon: "What now?, the Goblin is gone, but we still have these guys, who know your secret." Alfred: "Sir?, wasn't there a device in your company that erases any unwanted memories?" Batman: "Yes there is... perhaps we can use that to erase their memory of our identities, that way, this incident won't repeat itself." Aunt May: "And I'm guessing the same will go for us too?" Spider-Man: "Gee... I don't know... the point of having a secret identity is to protect the people you care about and..." Commissioner Gordon: "Don't worry, we won't tell anyone about them, and besides, it's the least I can do to thank you all for keeping this city safe." Spider-Man: "Thanks Commissioner." Ghost-Spider: "Well since our loved ones know our secret... then perhaps I can finally do what I wanted to do for a long time." Spider-Man: "Really?, what's that?" before the spider hero knew it, Ghost-Spider lifts up the lower half of Spider-Man's mask, before she does the same and starts kissing him, much to the male teen's surprise. Aunt May: "Well... it's about time." Batgirl: "You know Bruce... there's something I wanted to do too." Batman had a feeling what it was, so he tried to take a step back but Batgirl grabs him and kisses him just like how Ghost-Spider did with Spider-Man, much to the Commissioner's surprise. Alfred: "You know, we should give them some space. Commissioner Gordon: "Yeah, good idea." said the commissioner, before he, Alfred and Aunt May leave the scene so the heroes can have their alone time together.
