Nicks POV-
"Bye bubba." I say lightly kissing my slightly sleepy son on the head
"See you later baby." Demi says placing the care of our oldest in her sister Dallas's care
"Say 'bye momma and daddy'." Dallas giggles as she waves Jacksons tiny hand in the air as we take strides to the car "We'll be at the hospital around noon with the Family later?"
"Yeah that's good, we'll see you all then. Love you Dal. Thanks you're helping us a lot lately." Demi winks opening the passengers side door as I hop in and readjust my crutch by my side

"Are you nervous?" Demi asks placing one hand on my knee
"Yeah, I'm just, exhausted and hungry. I would kill for a cup of coffee right about now."
"Yeah," she sighs "I know." she squeezes my legs gently "But the doctor sai-"
"I know what the doctor said, Demi! But it wouldn't kill me if I had one cup of coffee!" I shout kicking me feet the front of the car causing my hip to flame up in excruciating pain and Demi to shed a few tears "God, baby, I'm sorry." I exhale and slam my head back against the plush chair "I've just been stressed out lately having to deal with the girls, especially Ruby, and not being able to get around on my own and its just hard, okay? I'm the man of this family and I should be able to provide for my family, and with my leg, I cant just do what I want. What I'm supposed to do."
"You're doing all you can. That's all that matters right now." she sniffles taking her hand off my thigh and placing it back onto the steering wheel as we ride around to the front of the hospital parking lot close to the entrance
"Sometimes I feel like its just not enough sometimes, you know?" as soon as I open the door the chilly mid-October air hits my face
