I would deserve it

After seeing that terrifying scene of Jack holding his adopted son in his arms and the two of them talking about their mutual dreams of murder.

Said child, already a teenager, pauses the video and excuses himself to go get more soda.

Joyce, with some doubts, makes to get up and follow him, but Lucas puts a hand on her shoulder and murmurs -I'd better go- and gets up.

She hesitates at first, but it was better that one of her friends be the one to talk to him for now, then they could fix this as a family... or that's what she told herself as a familiar ringing began to bother her ear.

Lucas walked into the kitchen and saw Will hastily hiding something under the table, something that sounded like glass.

They looked into each other's eyes for about 3 seconds until Lucas said -give me some...- putting his glass on the table, Will brought the large bottle of Coca-Cola closer, but Lucas clarified -about the other thing too...-

They look into each other's eyes for another 5 seconds until Will takes out the transparent bottle with orange liquid, Lucas takes it and pours some into his own glass.

The boy with the platform hair says -don't worry, I don't think anyone else has noticed... and if they did they haven't mentioned anything-

Coconut Head then asks -aren't you going to give me the "I'm here for you when you need to talk" speech?- in a tone of mockery and clear anger.

Lucas clarifies -if I did you would also hit me in the face... and I would deserve it, I'm not the one to judge, I exchanged them for popularity points with a group of ultra-religious armed psychopaths... they were only missing the white robes-

They both laugh a little at the black joke and drink from their glasses, then Lucas says -look, we both know how this is going to end, I won't speed it up, but I won't delay it either, until you ask for help... it's very much your business and you'll know how handle it-

Will says -thank you- the other asks -Why?- to which he clarifies -to continue being just Lucas- he shrugs his shoulders and responds -well, to be honest... me, Dustin and Nancy started to feel a little uncomfortable among so many people with double lives-

To which they both laugh again and finally Lucas leaves the kitchen, leaving Will alone, thinking about whether to put more of the orange liquid in his glass... or not.

I was going to make this a little longer, but I think this is fine for now, the next part will be SHOCKING, so I think this, it's fine this way and it highlights the point I want to get to... that Will doesn't need a motivational speech, not even a "I'm listening to you", maybe he just doesn't want to talk... what he needs is to know that his friends want to continue being his friends no matter what.
