Episode 27

"how are you feeling? do you need anything?"

that's what joshua had uttered the moment he heard jeshua, his daughter calling him and as soon as he saw that the kid was already awake after five hours of deep sleep right after she took another same medicine that she took the moment she caught fever. and it has been two days already since jeshua caught a fever, which means, she didn't attend classes today as joshua sent an excuse letter to jeshua's adviser so the kid can have special activities once she came back to school from being absent.

joshua extended his right hand to reach for his daughter's forehead and neck to check if the kid still has fever, and the moment he checked, joshua felt relieved that finally.. finally jeshua doesn't have it, anymore. ever since she caught fever kasi, hindi na yun nawala.. or i mean, mawawala after she took the medicine but after some hours, babalik na naman making her looked so weak as she doesn't have an appetite to eat dahil wala daw lasa yung pagkain though seokmin cooked her favorite food pero hindi din nya nakain. seokmin was so worried about her that he almost convince joshua to take her to the hospital already.

but joshua made a deal with him na kapag bukas di padin nawawala lagnat ni jeshua, they will take her to the hospital already to have her health checked pero kapag nawala yun within today, jeshua will stay home and just rest until she finally recovers. chrystyan was also worried about her situation that joshua kept hearing him asking seokmin about jeshua and he once caught chrystyan peaking at his baby sister's room to check her. and of course him, the father. he was really really worried than seokmin and chrystyan was... because joshua knew, he was the reason why jeshua caught a fever.

what he said to seokmin last night was true, he doesn't have an excuse why this happened to jeshua and wala naman kasing ibang sisisihin kundi sya lang. if only he didn't pushed jeshua to play with him under the pouring rain yesterday, the kid wouldn't caught a fever. and if only he just let himself being soaked by the rain, this wouldn't happened to his daughter. pero wala na syang magagawa, seokmin was right once again... no matter how many apologies he utter and no matter how he regretted what happened, hindi na mababalik yung nangyari na.

those apologies wont make jeshua's fever go away that quickly. it will never be.

jeshua nodded. "i-i felt thirsty... plus im so hungry, daddy." though it was barely audible since her lips were dry and so does her throat.

besides kasi sa hindi sya makakain nang maayos, jeshua also doesn't drink water much dahil maski yung tubig wala din daw lasa. and the water was making her vomit since her stomach was empty.

"min-ssi cooked something... wait for me here, okay? ill just gonna heat it."

though he doesn't want to leave his daughter alone inside her room, but he has to because there was no other people in the house to do the job for him since seokmin was already sleeping to finally have some rest because he has been watching over and monitoring jeshua since yesterday at wala pang maayos na tulog si seokmin, so joshua insisted himself to take over his responsibility dahil anak nya si jeshua, he should've been the one to do those such things. and chrystyan is also sleeping already.

joshua assured that he will come back with foods for her as he smiled to his daughter, and before he leave the room to heat the food seokmin cooked for her, he made sure that jeshua finally drank some glass of water na nakahanda sa nightstand nya just in case the kid look for one. then he reminded jeshua not to use her ipad na nasa tabi lang nang pillow nya while waiting for him to come back since bawal pa sya gumamit non. jeshua nodded as she smiles to his father, reassuring him na susundin nya lahat nang sinabi ng daddy nya.
