"kumusta ka naman dyan? have you eaten? did you take your medicine already? where's the kids? yung boss mo? sino kasama mo dyan?"
instead of laughing by how his noona asked those questions nang sunod sunod because she looked like she would gone crazy if hindi nasagot ni seokmin lahat nang tanong na yun and she sounded like a mother... a mother that seokmin sees from most of the movies he had watched over the internet. but instead, seokmin's heart melt and shatters at the same time seeing and hearing how his noona was so worried about his current situation here in los angeles. which is, he still has fever though he have rested well na since yesterday.
and watching her noona being worried over the line makes his eyes filled with water. he never get to experience being taken care of when he was sick nung nasa korea pa sya. he never get the chance to see how his mother or even his noona to be so worried like this in person. it was so rare kasi na magkasakit sya, it was like, once in a blue moon and the last time he did, he was living alone in his condo at parehas busy yung mother nya and his noona kaya sya lang nagpagaling sa sarili nya.
nakakainis mang isipin that those bare minimum dream of his, hindi na matutupad. because once in a blue moon na nga lang sya magkasakit, dito pa sya sa los angeles dinatnan. here in united states where his noona was at the other side of the world.
seokmin nods his head. "yes noona, i have already eaten and took medicines." then he stared at how his noona was looking at him through the screen, listening to every word he's going to say. "the kids.. uhh, today is monday so they are probably in school. my boss, joshua of course nasa trabaho nya."
"so ikaw lang mag-isa dyan?" once again, seokmin nodded as he pursed his lips and heave a sighed. "can you do it all day alone? what time are the kids dismissal ba?"
"oo naman noona, kaya ko. plus joshua already cook the lunch and he even redied the medicines. even he reminds me not to do any household chores." he confidently answered so that his noona won't be worried anymore.
what he said was right. actually, joshua insisted himself to be absent for today just to look after seokmin and take good care of the kids, but seokmin as he is, he convinced his boss enough na kaya nya and as usual from joshua, pinanalo nya si seokmin so he doesn't have a choice but to attend his job. and since hindi sya pinayagan ni seokmin umabsent, joshua was the one who cooked the breakfast and the lunch already for him though he helped him for the kids packed lunch pero overall, si joshua talaga yung gumawa.
even driving the kids to school si joshua na din gumawa, and his boss just reminds him to rest and do not do any hard and difficult household chores kasi nabibinat si seokmin. that's the reason he still has fever, and its been three days now.
his noona's side of his lips rose up. "so you're calling your boss just joshua? no sirs or anything?" then she giggled after she teased her younger brother as she even played her both brows up and down.
seokmin rolled his eyes. "yah noona, he was the one who told me not to call him sir anymore. may magagawa ba ko?"
though he knows its only applicable when joshua and him are alone. pero wala e, he was being used to call his boss just joshua already.
"nako seokkie, iba na yan ah." and his noona just laughed when seokmin just rolled his eyes. "by the way, the reason why i called you is because of mother..."
