TWO YEARS LATER . . .
TWO years . . . It took Leo two years to clear the way so that his love for Imee can smoothly reach its way back to her.
But two years seemed such a long time for her to wait, and too late for him to return.
They never saw each other since then.
Leo had always wanted to be a lawyer and he achieved it, but along the way, he believed something too ironic for a lawyer—justice didn't exist.
There must be nothing wrong about the written laws or justice itself, but the human who participated in the execution of both. Justice wanted to prevail, to make its existence know, yet evil men suppress its voice for their selfish interests. The law was fine and good for everybody, yet evil men twist the words to make the results of a hearing favor them and their pockets.
He was in his townhouse's office room and he was interrupted from watching the movie by a phone call.
Leo lifted his head a little to see the smart phone's screen. He rolled his eyes when he read the caller ID before answering the call.
"Hello."
"Leo, the Atlantis calls me . . . Let's go clubbing tonight?"
"How many times do I have to tell you that I'm done with clubbing, Curtis?" iritadong sagot niya rito.
The caller was Curtis Saavedra, a fashion model who kept bugging him because he was having contract problems lately. They weren't really friends, but were acquaintained with each other pretty well because he was friends with his older brother, Claude.
