My thumbs hover over the keyboard, staring at your message as the sentiment swelters in my chest.
The words are stuck. I suppose it's the paralysis of knowing my response is so immediate. I need those words to settle. To sink into the soil for a while.

I've never been so certain.
I want to live my entire life with you.
We have more potential than the others in our family — Those who came before us. We can be better. We deserve to help each other be better.

I want to kiss your knuckles at the end of a long day. I want to wake you with a tender hand on your back in the morning. I want to hear about your day and how you think of this silly world.

You make a bad society seem less bad.
