MAERA HAD NOT COME OUT OF HER CHAMBERS SINCE HER FIGHT WITH HER MOTHER. She did not eat, or talk to anyone. She would sink herself in her bathtub. A weird thing to do but she didn't know why she enjoyed it so much.Jacaerys tried talking to her but she ignored him, all she wanted was her mother. Rhaenrya stayed to herself, she was disappointed, a feeling she never felt towards the Princess.
Which is why Maera felt so broken by it, A mother being mad at you was the worst feeling in the world.
While, Maera lay in her bed, a danger creeped in thru out the Dragonstone corridors. Ser Arryk walked down halls, searching for Rhaenrya's room to slay her.
In Rhaenrya's chambers, Elinda braids Rhaenrya's hair.
"What of Maera?" Rhaenrya asked. "She has not come out of her chambers in a few days." Rhaenrya sighs, stepping away. "Is it my fault, Maera and I never fought like this before."
"I should go see her-" Rhaenrya said. "The hour is late, Your Grace. You should get rest. You should go talk to her tomorrow." Elinda stated. Rhaenrya slowly nodded.
Outside, Ser Arryk switches shifts to guard Rhaenrya's room. Ser Lorent pats his shoulder, he mistakes him for his brother.
A few minutes later, He bursts into Rhaenrya's room. "Ser Erryk?" Rhaenrya asked, getting up from bed. Ser Arryk draws his sword. "Believe me, I had no choice." He said.
Erryk charges in the room. "Brother!" He yelled. "Do not do this. I beg you."
"You were the one who betrayed us, Erryk." Arryk stated. Arryk glances between his brother and the queen.
Arryk lunges his sword at Rhaenrya, Erryk blocks it with his. Elinda crouches behind a table. The twins trade sword blows.
Maera chambers being closer to her mother's, hears the sounds of swords crushes together, along with grunts. Maera grabs her sword from her table, rushing out of her chambers, to her mother's.
"Princess!" Elinda yells. Maera places Elinda behind her. When Maera reaches her mother's door. "Stay here." Maera tells Elinda. Elinda nods.
Maera enters Rhaenrya's room.
"Your Grace!" Maera exclaims. "Maera." Rhaenrya yells. Erryk pushes his brother on the table, Maera acts quick, and helps her mother up, pointing her sword at the twins. They were moving too fast, she couldn't tell which was which.
Arryk held Erryk on the wall, choking him. Erryk pushed his fingers into Arryk's wound. Arryk pulls away, falling on the floor. Erryk stands up, grabbing his sword.
Arryk grabs his, and Erryk puts his sword into his brother. Maera gasps at the sight, along with her mother. Ser Arryk falls on the floor.
Ser Erryk watches his brother on the ground, blood spilling on the floor. "Your Grace, Princess." Ser Erryk walks towards Rhaenrya, and Maera.
Rhaenrya walks towards him, but Maera holds her back, not knowing if it was really Ser Erryk. "Forgive me." He points his sword at his stomach and falls on it, falling to the floor.
Maera's face crumbles, while Rhaenrya tears fall down her face.
Maera and Rhaenrya sat in Maera's chambers, Rhaenrya's being covered in blood. Maera could not handle the silence anymore.
Maera sank to her knees. "I'm sorry, Your Grace. I swear by gods I will never plot something behind your back again. I'm sorry-
Rhaenrya kissed her daughter's forehead. "I forgive you, Maera. Everyone makes mistakes." Maera sighs. "I know, but I am sorry, I should've stopped Daemon when I had the chance." Maera said, looking to her.
"Now an innocent child is dead." Maera added. "Is there anything else you've done behind my back?" Rhaenrya asked.
Maera's mind instantly goes to Alicent.
Maera shakes her head. "No, Your Grace." Maera stated. Rhaenrya nodded, pulling Maera in for a hug, Maera melts into it, there's nothing Maera loved more than Rhaenrya.
Rhaenrya experienced near death today, Maera swears she'll protect her mother till her last day, she'll die before anything happens to her mother, or her family.
