MAERA LANDED SWIFTLY ON THE ENTRANCE OF DRAGONTONE. The Cannibal did not fit in the dragonpit, and placed Sheepstealer down on the ground.

Maera slid down Cannibal's wing, walking infront of him, and Maera caressed Sheepstealer dead body, placing his head against hers.

The Cannibal flew back onto the sky, and let out cries above Dragonstone, he could feel Maera's pain, anger, and guilt. She feels guilty for Sheepstealer's death. She had basically killed him.

Rhaenrya came out. Maera could hear her footsteps approach her. "Maera, You could've been killed!" Rhaenrya yelled, in a stoic tone. Maera turned to Rhaenrya. "Your face! Are you okay? Does it hurt?" Rhaenrya asked.

"I'm sorry mother, I disobeyed you, and.. now my dragon is dead." Maera whispered. Rhaenrya shot Maera a pity look. "Why don't you listen to me?" Rhaenrya scoffed. "You don't see me as Queen, you see me as your mother."

"Because you are my mother!" Maera exclaimed. "Yes-Yes I am. But I am also the Queen, and you need to listen to me as one." Rhaenrya stated. "I do see you as The Queen."

"But you don't listen Maera! That's the problem." Rhaenrya scoffed. "I don't listen because I feel useless, You telling me to not go with Rhaenys made me feel useless. I want to fight!" Maera said.

"I want to fight as well." Rhaenrya said. "But that doesn't mean I sneak out from Dragonstone to join a dragon fight." Rhaenrya added. Maera sighs. "Because you are the Queen, as Jace said, If you die, all is lost."

"You are my heir." Rhaenrya caressed Maera's face. "And you keep putting yourself in unnecessary danger. I thought I lost you once, I cannot go thru the same pain again."

"Do you know how anxious I felt while you were out in Rook's Rest? I'm sorry, but your dragon is dead, Maera. It could've been you." Rhaenrya added.

"Well, It wasn't me, It was Aemond and Aegon. I killed Aemond with my own hands, and.." Maera suddenly remembers what she had seen.

"And what?" Rhaenrya asked. "Aemond burned Aegon, when I flew over them, I saw Aemond mutter something, I'm assuming, Dracarys, and that old cunt opened her mouth and spread fire onto Aegon." Maera said.

"Are you sure of what you saw?" Rhaenrya questioned. Maera nodded her head. "And, I managed to get this for you."

Maera pulled out the dagger from her belt. Maera held it out to her mother. Rhaenrya's eyes widened. "My father's dagger." Maera softly smiled. Rhaenrya placed a kiss on Maera's forehead.

"Come, I have to show you something." Rhaenrya stated. "But Sheepstealer." Maera said. "We'll let the dragons keepers look after that." Rhaenrya whispered. Maera gently shook her head. "It's my fault he's dead, Mother. I can't just leave him here."
