MAERA QUIETLY MADE HER WAY TOWARDS THE QUEENS CHAMBERS. She had heard about secret passages and tunnels that were bulit by Maegor The Cruel. She was not going to Alicent's doors knowing Ser Criston Cole would be there.

She closed the passage door behind her. "The hour is late, Ser Crison." Alicent mumbled, turning around in her silky nightgown.

"It is." Maera whispered. Alicent's eyes widened. "Maera? What are you doing here?" Alicent rushed towards the girl.

"I came to see you." Maera grabbed Alicent's hands. "You can't be here." Alicent released her hands from the younger girl, but Maera held them again.

"I can. Who's going to come in here so late?" Maera asked. "No one." Alicent answered. Maera tilted her head.

"I came to talk to you about the inheritance of Driftmark, Driftmark is Lucerys birthright. Vaemond is too ambitious. He wants it for himself, He is a second son. He will destroy Driftmark for his own ambitions. Lucerys is a sweet boy, he's smart, he's kind. He is not ambitious."

"It's not up to me, I was.. lying. It's up to the Hand." Alicent whispered. "Convince your father then, please." Maera pleaded. "I will try." Alicent stared into Maera's purple eyes.

A silence falls over them. Maera looks down at Alicent's mouth and Maera closes the distance between them, and pressed a hard kiss to Alicent's lips.

"What we did was a mistake It cannot happen again.." Alicent states, gently pushing Maera away. "It was not." Maera whispered. "I enjoyed it, as did you." Alicent shook her head. "Swear to me you didn't." Maera spoke. Alicent stayed silent.

"You did." Maera whispered, not surprised. Alicent scoffed. "I feel terrible. It was wrong of me." Alicent looked at the Princess.

"It was wrong of me, actually. I've always wanted you, Your Grace. It may sound wrong but since I was little, you always caught my attention, everything about you amused me. I am wrong for wanting you. I'm sorry. I should go." Maera told the Queen. Maera turned to leave but Alicent held her hand.

Maera frowns at the action, her body turning to face the Queen again. Alicent stares at their hands touching. "I-I'm sorry." Maera shakes her head. "No need." Maera whispered.

Maera smiled at her Queen and gently strokes Alicent's soft skin with her thumb. Maera pressed her lips against the Queen's. Maera pulled away. "Gods, your lips are like no other." Maera said. Alicent softly smiled. Maera brought her hands to Alicent's lower neck and pulled her back in for a kiss.

"You need to.." Alicent's words die on her tongue when Maera's lips travel down Alicent's neck.

Maera stood with her family on the other side of the hall. She had not talked to anyone this morning except Alicent who she woke up next to and rushed to her chambers, They did not sleep together but instead shared kisses and touches, comfortable in each other's presence.
