Tears blurred my vision as I gazed at Caleb. One look and I knew he had rushed over; his hair was tousled by the wind.Caleb frowned with concern. I blurted out, "If you hadn't been ignoring me, I wouldn't have been so down. If I hadn't been so down, I wouldn't have gone for chicken soup. If I hadn't had the soup, I wouldn't have choked. And now you blame me..."By the time I finished, I was nearly out of breath, clutching my throat and gasping between tears.Caleb actually laughed. "Not bad, you can still talk so much; it can't be that bad."Ignoring him, my tears fell even harder.In the past, I wasn't this fragile. How do you feel?"Feeling relieved, I excitedly said, "Much better!"Caleb looked at me seriously, "Are you just saying that because you're scared of the endoscopy?""No, really, I feel better.
