Chapter 33: The Journey

Once we got Itachi and Luna, we set off.

Luna, being the voice of reason, insisted that I shouldn't walk and that Itachi needed to take it easy. So now I was getting a piggy back ride from Sasuke and Itachi had thrown his arm over Luna's shoulder so she could help him along.

I leaned forward so I was right by Sasuke's ear. "PST. Sasuke." I said.

He rolled his eyes at me. "Yes?"

"Where are we going?" I asked in a whisper.

"Like the last twenty times I told you, you'll see." He said with a smirk. I rolled my eyes.

If I could just tell where we are. I'm so geologically challenged. I bet Luna knows. She's always been good with places and directions where as I couldn't find my way out of a wet paper bag.

"You know the second you get there, they'll try to kill and/or capture you and Itachi." Luna said to Sasuke.

"Get where?" I asked innocently.

Luna just looked at me and shook her head, stifling a laugh.

"You aren't wanted? And Echo was part of the Akatsuki so they'll want her too." Sasuke said.

Luna looked over at me, giving me a look. I just stared blankly at Sasuke a moment.

"Wellllllll...."

"Echo." He stated firmly.

"I was kinda spying on the Akatsuki for intel......."

I received two surprised stares.

"You're an idiot." Luna said blankly. She had already known for a while now.

"They could've easily killed you!" Sasuke said with look of surprise.

"Eh. True but I did it." I said shrugging.

"I thought they were your family?" Itachi asked.

"They are. Which is why I don't want them to be criminals." I said softly, drawing shapes on Sasuke's back with my fingers and not meeting his eyes.

Itachi sighed. "They're going to be pretty pissed. At both of us."

I nodded and stayed quiet. I hope they aren't too angry.

I laid my head against Sasuke's shoulder and sighed softly.

"Don't worry, Echo. It'll all be okay. We can figure everything out once we get there." Sasuke said quietly so only I could hear him.

"I don't even know where there is." I said smiling.

"You're about to see." He said simply.

He led us into a very familiar looking path. I frowned as I thought hard. Where have I seen this before? It's familiar but distant. Like somewhere I haven't been in years.

"Close your eyes." Sasuke said with a smile.

I pouted but closed my eyes, playing along.

Sasuke continued walking as I laid my head against his shoulder. The quiet talking between Sasuke and Itachi was drowned out as I closed my eyes. I wasn't really asleep, just resting until we get there. Hopefully it will be soon.

HI GUYS! I MISSED YOU SO MUCH.

Now before you all beat me with sticks for not updating, I was grounded. It took me a while to write too. I have a little bit of writers block in how to finish this book.

Anyway, sorry it's so short BUUUTTTT Atleast it's something. My next update will be soon I promise.
