Dex's POV:

That night was a blur. Dex was so overwhelmed with emotions that he forgot most of his senses. He was happy, excited, and so full of laughter that it was crazy!

Fitz ended up staying the night. Which wasn't too bad since the two boys both passed out around maybe one or two in the morning. They had talked most of the night.

Dex sat up and rubbed his eyes. He blinked away the remaining drowsiness and stared out his balcony door. The sun was just coming up over the horizon. He looked around his room. His sketchbook lay open on his desk, and gadgets were spread around the floor. Then, he looked to his side. He would've jumped out of his skin. But it took him a minute to register the brunette still asleep beside him in the bed.

Fitz flipped over in his sleep so that he was now facing Dex. To Dex, he looked like an angel when he slept. Dex lifted his hand and laid it on Fitz's head gently. He was okay with Fitz sleeping beside him.

He leaned back against his backboard and sighed. He would have to talk to Fitz's about them being mated now. He hated to ruin such a good mood. But, he would bring it up when he felt the time was right.

To make himself let go of the worry, he thought about what life would be like in the future. Would they sleep like this in the future? What would their baby look like? What would their name be? There were a million questions running through Dex's head.

Fitz started to stir. He wrapped one of his arms around Dex's leg and snuggled up to it. His eyes fluttered open, and he groaned. Dex rubbed Fitz's head. Dex's stomach growled. It was still early, but Dex was really craving a Bliztenberry Muffin. Stupid cravings.

"Dex, your stomach is loud," Fitz grumbled. Dex let out a small laugh.

"Hey, you aren't the one feeding two right now and for the next 8 months," Dex pointed out. Fitz smiled. He seemed to like the calmer life than the stuck-up.'I have to act all nice and powerful.' Maybe they would get their own place someday. That would be nice.

Fitz sat up and rubbed his eyes. He looked around. His hair was extremely messed up. Dex loved when he looked like this.

Someone knocked on the door. Bex poked her head into the room. She seemed to be alone, but Dex still didn't trust her overly calm face.

"What's up, Bexie?" Dex asked as his sister entered the room and closed the door behind her. She scampered over to Dex's side of the bed and threw herself onto him. Dex made and 'humf!' sound as she flopped on her older brother.

"Rex and Lex went out with dad. Mom isn't home. I'm bored. So I decided I'd bother the love birds," Bex informed Dex. Fitz flopped on his back.

"It's too earlyyyyy," Fitz complained as he laid his head on Dex's thigh. Dex's stomach grumbled again. Bex looked from her older brother's stomach to her brothers eyes.

"Mom made some Butterblasts last night. Do you want me to grab you some?" Bex asked. Dex nodded. Bex headed for the door.

"Hey, grab me some, please!" Fitz called after her.

"Yeah, yeah," Bex said as she closed the door. Fitz sighed as he looked up at Dex.

"Is there something you wanna talk about while she's gone?" Fitz questioned. Dex's heart sunk. He nodded. Fitz sat up on the bed and looked at Dex with kind eyes.

"Dex... Is something bothering you?" Fitz inquired. Dex nodded. He stared at his hands in his lap.

"It's just... you know we're mated now, right?" Dex asked quietly. Fitz nodded but kept his eyes trained on Dex.

"Yeah, and it doesn't bother me one bit. I'll happily marry you," Fitz told Dex. Fluttering butterflies filled Dex's stomach. No, it wasn't the baby. At least, Dex didn't think so. Dex felt his face redden.

"I just don't want to tie you down to something that you wouldn't want. I guess I don't have to worry about that now," Dex informed him. Fitz smiled softly. He moved closer to Dex and wrapped his arm around Dex's shoulder.

"You'll never tie me to anything or anyone. I want to have this baby with you!" Fitz whispered in Dex's ear. Dex leaned on Fitz's shoulder.

Bex swung the door open. She was holding a plate full of pink and blue Butterblasts.

"Mom said that whatever color the last one on the plate is the gender of the baby!" Bex exclaimed. Dex and Fitz shared a look. Bex plopped the plate down on Fitz's lap and crawled onto the end of the bed. She grabbed a pink one and bit into it.

"I want it to be a girl, what about you, Fitz?" Bex asked. Fitz's face flushed. He grabbed a pink one as well.

"I also want to be a girl. The Vacker family needs more of those," Fitz answered. Bex smiled. Then she turned to Dex.

"What about you, Dex?" she questioned. Dex looked down at the plate. He hadn't thought about this before. He picked a blue one.

"Honestly, I don't know. But, I'll go with a boy for now," he said as he bit into the fluffy texture. Fitz let out a laugh.

"Always have to be different, don't ya, Gears?" Fitz chuckled. Dex elbowed him.

"If you don't stop calling me that, im going to kick you out of the house," Dex warned. Bex snickered.

Before long, Bex had left because the boys were back, and so was Juline. Fitz and Dex sat alone in Dex's room. Fitz had busied himself by flipping through all of Dex's sketches in his Sketchbook, and Dex was working at picking up all the gadgets that were spread out across the floor. When Dex was done with that, he went over and grabbed another Butterblast.

"Oh, would you look at that," Fitz said as he put down Dex's sketchbook. He pointed at the plate. There was only one Butterblast left, and it was a blue one.

"Looks like we're having a boy," Dex stated. Fitz nodded as he swipped the last Butterblast with a devious grin. Dex played offended. Fitz cocked and eyebrow then spilt the Butterblast in half.

"To a healthy baby boy!" he exclaimed as he handed Dex his half. Dex took it and raised it up like Fitz had done.

"To a healthy baby boy!"
