𝐒𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐢𝐜𝐞

HALLOWEEN 🎃 SPECIAL!!

"Have you heard of the human holiday called Halloween? I guess it's where they dress up and go... 'trick or treating?'" Dex told Fitz, shrugging. Fitz looked at the book Dex was holding. The language was unknown to him... but he was assuming Sophie told Dex about the holiday.

It was October 31st. It's a chilly day. Leaves fell and flew in the cold, biting wind. Fitz was dressed in a warm royal blue tunic fastened with gold. His cape was black. Dex was dressed in a rose colored tunic with a warm Grey cape clasped with his new Vacker pin.

Keefe and Tam had apparently heard about the holiday, and Keefe had convinced Tam to dress up with him. Fitz didn't know if it was a great idea. But, Dex seemed astatic about it.

Hahhhh...... Fitz got roped into going to Havenfeild for a 'mini Halloween party.' Made up by Fitz but hosted by Sophie.

So, he wore a black tunic with silver buttons and a hooded cape. The best he had. Dex had been working on something for the party. It was a... hooded cape with ears on it. He may have stolen some of Juline's makeup to dress up, too.

Dex's hand was warm in Fitz's as be knocked on Havenfeild's door. They were greeted by Tam, who smiled at the two of them.

"Hey, you two. Just in time, Keefe was about to go crazy if you didn't show up," Tam sighed as he led the two into the living room. Sophie and Biana were laughing their heads off about something. Tam went over and sat by Keefe, who leaned on Tam, smiling like crazy with flushed cheeks. Linh and Marella were discussing something by the dining table. Wylie sat on an armchair with a book open in his hands.

Dex leaned on Fitz. Fitz glanced down at Dex and smiled. The warmth of the house dulled the chill of the air outside.

When Sophie saw that Fitz and Dex were there, she jumped up and ran over to them.

"Oh I'm so glad you two could make it!" she exclaimed as she grasped Dex's forearm. Dex smiled at her.

"Of course! I wouldn't miss a human holiday for nothing!" Dex lied. Fitz knew he had missed a whole bunch of holidays. He also hated being gripped like Sophie was doing to his arm at the moment. Fitz held back the urge to snatched her hand away.

Hours went by. Soon, it was close to 11 PM. Dex was almost zonked out on the couch from partying. Though, he couldn't party too hard since he was still pregnant. Fitz was drinking some sort of fizzy drink with Tam while Keefe almost faceplanted on the floor. He might have had a little too much to drink. Tam sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Well, I think it's time I take Keefe home... he seems to have had enough." Tam moved to grab his boyfriend. Keefe groaned and attempted to swat Tam away but failed. Biana had already left. Marella and Linh had left together. So, it was just Fitz, a sleeping Dex, Tam, and a drunk Keefe. Sophie was upstairs. As Tam and Keefe hobbled out the door, Fitz went over and gently shook Dex awake. Dex blinked sleepily and grumbled. When he saw Fitz, he shook his head and wrapped his arms around Fitz's neck. Fitz sighed and picked Dex up bridal style before walking over to the leapmaster.

When the two got to Rimeshire, Dex was conked out again. Fitz walked up the stairs quietly to avoid waking everybody else and laid Dex in bed. He turned around to get ready for bed and was startled by Rex, who was standing in the doorway with a blanket clutched to his chest.

"Holy- oh, it's just you, Rex. You scared me, bud. Do you need anything?" Fitz whispered as Rex walked in and stood beside Fitz.

"I... I had a bad dream... a-and I don't want to bother mom and dad... c-can I stay with you two for a while?" Rex mumbled. Fitz was a bit shocked by that. But, he didn't mind. He nodded with a sympathetic smile on his face. Rex slowly climbed into bed next to Dex and snuggled close. The two brothers were soon fast asleep. Fitz sighed at the sight.

What an eventful Halloween.
