Team 13 stood in a training field the tension high as Aisura stood next to a pissed Senshi whose anger was being directed towards Sora who was standing in front of her, looking like she couldn't care less.

"Calm down Senshi," Aisura said trying to defuse the situation.

"Like hell, I will. Sora refuses to communicate, it's like all the teamwork we had during the test has gone down the drain. She acts like she can't wait to get away from us, "Senshi snapped.

Sora didn't speak as she now turned away from them. Senshi snapped as she grabbed Sora's wrist making Aisura flinch. He Knew Sora hated being touched. Sora froze in place as he heart rate picked up and she ripped her hand away spinning around and giving an icy glare towards Senshi. Senshi also froze, forgetting how things like this always happened when Hikari pulled a stunt like that. Senshi just got so caught up in her anger she had forgotten.

"Don't touch me," Sora snapped.

Senshi shook out of her momentary fear as she glared at Sora once again.

"Oh, now you talk to us and react. What do you want me to do when you don't even give us the time of day? We're meant to be training, the Hokge told us we will be getting a bigger mission soon and we need to prepare for it," Senshi snapped.

Tatsuo watched the genin arguing though it was mostly Senshi arguing with herself. But now that she had pulled that little stunt Sora might react. He looked at Sora who was now holding her wrist close to her protectively, something Aisura also noticed she did whenever someone touched her.

Sora took a deep breath trying to calm down. She was safe, there was no one here that could hurt her. Just her loud-mouthed teammate. She had to stay calm and not lose her cool. Senshi wanted to get a reaction.

"why are you like this!"Senshi snapped.

It went quiet, Aisura was also curious to see if Sora would answer, though he doubted she would. Sora looked down for a moment thinking about it herself. Why was she always like this? She considered opening up for just a moment but that passed as images of the past flashed into her head. She quickly closed her eyes trying to will them away but it didn't work.

"That's enough Senshi. She doesn't have to tell us," Aisura said picking up on the sudden change in Sora.

"We have a right to know. It's affecting us directly. We're teammates we have to trust each other, but how am I expected to trust someone who won't talk to us and treats us as a means to an end," Senshi snapped.

"Then don't trust me. The feelings are mutual," Sora shot back as she turned around and walked away.

This left the two stunned before Senshi growled.

"She's so annoying!" Senshi yelled.

"She just needs time Senshi," Aisura said feeling hurt by Sora's words.

Sora kept walking, with no destination in mind as thoughts were running through her head. It was better this way to keep them at a distance. She couldn't trust anyone anymore, not ever again. They may tell her she's safe in the village and she can trust them to protect her but that is a lie. No one could protect her from him. NO ONE! The second he decided to take her back he would. It wasn't a question of if it was a question of when. The only person that she could trust and protect was herself. The last person who she trusted and believed would protect her died because of her.

Suddenly she bumped into someone and fell to the ground, she looked up now snapped out of her thoughts to see who she bumped into. Also on the ground in front of her was Shikamaru.

"What a drag, what's got you so lost in your own world," He ground as he stood up lazily.

Sora also rose to her feet dusting herself off. She then looked at Shikamaru.

"Just thinking," She mumbled.

"it must have been quite some thoughts, you weren't aware of anything around you," Shikamaru sighed.

"Sorry," Sora said softly now looking at the ground.

"troublesome girl," Shikamaru said.

He stopped as he looked at Sora, who was refusing to look up from the ground. Something seemed off about her.

"Seriously what's up?" Shikamaru said.

"I don't wanna talk about it," Sora said wanting to avoid the topic altogether.

"Then what do you want to talk about?" Shikamaru questioned.

"Nothing," Sora replied.

"That's fine," He said.

She watched as his hand moved towards her and she froze up expecting him to grab her but she didn't, instead, he held his hand out to her waiting for her to take hold of it.

"you coming?" He asked.

She hesitantly and cautiously took hold of his hand, unsure of what he was planning. He lightly tugged on it as he began walking forward Sora following behind him awkwardly. Sora looked at their hands finding it odd, he had never done anything like this before, but his hand felt warm and something deep down in her liked it. Was it perhaps because it was her choice for him to take hold of her hand and it wasn't something out of anger or annoyance?

Whenever someone laid a hand on her it was always because they were mad or, She shivered at the thought of Orochimaru. But she then remembered her brother, his touch was always filled with love and warmth, never from a place of anger. Maybe that's why she didn't hate it because it reminded her of when her brother held her hand and promised to take them to a better place.

She came away from her thoughts when Shikamaeu stopped walking, she looked around to see he had led her to the field she always came to and watched the clouds. She hadn't had the opportunity to do that these past few days with everything happening.

"Why did you bring me here?" Sora questioned.

"Because this is where you always come when you're not feeling the best," He replied.

He let go of her hand as he laid down watching the clouds. He gently patted the spot next to him encouraging Sora to also lie down and watch the clouds. She let out a gentle sigh as she two laid down. As she watched the clouds float by she felt her mind quiet down, her body finally relaxing as she took deep breaths enjoying the warm day. She was reminded she still had her freedom.

"Hey Shikamaru, do you ever just look up at the clouds and wish you could be up there with them?" Sora questioned absentmindedly.

"Yes, many times," Shikamaru replied.

Shikamaru smiled to himself watching her relax, he was glad. She was always so tense and ridged. It must have been exhausting. He didn't even want to imagine what it was like. Time passed and he noticed her breathing change, and he looked over to see she had fallen asleep, he again smiled, knowing she probably needed the rest. So he stayed by her side watching over her while she slept.
