(NOTE: we are back at Sora's perspective now)
Sora looked at the two as she noticed her eyes felt...cold, she didn't know how that was even possible.
"What's happening now?" Sora asked nervously.
"you passed the test," Arata said looking at his sister with pride.
Sora just looked at the two confused still on edge from the previous experience, was this another trick? How could she know this was really her brother and not just another illusion?
"He is your brother, the brother you saw before was just a part of your test," Yasu explained
"What is this test, and does that mean when i see him normally that was just a part of the test," Sora said trying to wrap her head around what was happening.
"The version of your brother you see normally is something that happens because of your trauma and doubt in yourself, the test used that image of your brother to break you down," Yasu explained.
So this meant this was truly her brother. Sora looked at them still confused as to what was happening making Yasu let out a sigh, the Hisha truly taught her nothing it seems. She was glad they did what they had to.
"We are both spirits, should so to speak, the souls of Hisha seen as worthy reside here inside this cave, I am your ancestor," Yasu explained.
Sora slowly nodded still in a daze from all this information.
"You see young one the Hisha clan was once a very powerful one, and that was for two main reasons, the first is the ice realise Kekkie Genkai that we possess that anyone could have been born with. The second is our Dojutsu," Yasu explained.
"Dojutsu?" Sora questioned.
"Yes, it had been lots for generations as well and people with the kekkie genkai becoming rareer as well, when I was born and showed signs of possessing the Kekkei Genkai at two they grew hopeful, it usually mainfesting around five years of age. The only person in the previous generation to possess it was our mother. So since i had it so young they believed I could possess the Dojutsu, which is why they had you hoping the same would happen," Arata explained.
Sora looked at them both still not understanding where she and this test all came into this.
"You're brother didn't possess the dojutsu because your ancestors sealed it away long ago when they saw the clan begin to take a dark path. But then you were born your ancestors could tell you possessed the dojutsu despite that seal, so they placed a seal on you to hide your abilities, in the hope your clan wouldn't use it for evil," Yasu explained.
Sora looked at them confused, were they saying she possessed the clan dojutsu, what was their clan dojutsu she had never heard about it before now. Sora held her head trying to calm her racing mind. Aratra walked up to Sora and placed his hand on her head, she tensed at first from the unexpected touch but calmed the feeling familiar and something she missed.
"I know this is a lot to take in but bear with us," Arata said soothingly.
"So you're saying is I posses this dojutsu?" Sora questioned.
Arata smiled as he led her to the water's edge as Sora looked at her reflection she was shocked to see they were completely different from her normal eyes. They were blue with a lighter glowing blue pattern in them. (Pic bellow) Sora stumbled slightly her brother supporting her.
"And what about this test?" Sora mumbled still in disbelief.
"every user of the clan dojutsu has to first go through a test within themselves, this is because the use of the dojutsu puts your body through extreme conditions, and to be able to handle that your will and resolve first need to be strong enough to handle it. That's what the test is about, but now you will need to keep that strength as well as train your body to handle it though Hisha bodies have always been built to deal with the conditions it goes through a lot more than others," Yasu explained.
"And what would have happened if i didn't pass the test?" Sora questioned.
"you would have become crippled. Your body went to temperatures far below the normal and the damage caused by that may be reversible with time, but your chakra system would have been destroyed stopping you from continuing your life as a ninja," Yasu explained.
Sora's head was spinning, that could have happened if she hadn't passed. That didn't seem fair.
"Our time is almost up," Yasu said drawing Sora's attention.
"wait will I be able to see my brother again?" Sora asked hopeful.
Arata gave her a sad smile.
"I'm not strong enough to materialize by myself I need Yasu to do that, and that's not something she can just do. So this will probably be the last time I see you," Arata said.
Sora ran up to him hugging him tears in her eyes. He hugged her back.
"I don't want to lose you again," Sora sobbed.
"You're not losing me. You may not be able to see me but I will always be watching you. You have made me so incredibly proud, I and grateful I get to call you my sister. I still love you with all my heart and will continue to do so forever," Arata said.
Sora watched as her surroundings began to fade as did her brother.
"Those books the hokage has will explain anything we haven't, so keep moving forward Sora, and let those around you in, it may be scary but that's a risk everyone has to take," Arata said as he vanished.
Upon them disappearing Sora fell into a deep sleep.
