-Start of Chapter 18-

*yawnnn*

I need sleep... Thank goodness I don't have a tight schedule tomorrow...

The taxi comes to a halt in front of Y/N's house.

I rub my eyes, exhaustion tugging at my limbs as I step out of the taxi. With a soft sigh, I make my way around to Y/N's side of the car, where she's still peacefully sleeping, her breathing steady and gentle.

She looks so cute...

Leaning in, I gently unbuckle her seatbelt, trying not to disturb her. But as I do, I hear a sharp intake of breath, and I freeze, my heart skipping a beat. Is she awake?

I glance up, but her eyes are still shut, her breathing steady. I must have imagined it...

With a smirk, I reach out to lift her into my arms, but before I can, her eyes fly open, and she tenses beneath me.

"Don't you dare do that again!" she whispers, her voice barely above a murmur.

I pause, my fingers hovering just above the back of her neck. "So you are awake." I tease, unable to contain my grin.

"Y-Yeahh." she looks away. "Woke up a few minute's ago..."

"Then why did you pretend to be asleep?... Did you want me to carry you again?" I feel myself smirk.

"W-What!! Nooo!" she protests, her cheeks flushing even more.

"Yeah yeah, sure." I chuckle, gently guiding her out of the taxi.

As she stumbles out, her foot catches on the curb, I quickly reach out to steady her, my heart racing at the touch of her hand in mine.

"Careful..."I murmur, feeling a warmth spread through me at the closeness between us.

She shivers slightly, and I notice her thin clothing. "Here." I say, retrieving my blazer from the taxi seat and draping it over her shoulders. "Wear this properly, it's cold."

She hesitates for a moment, looking uncertain, but eventually, she nods and slips her arms through the blazer, a small smile playing on her lips.

I hand her the keys, my fingers lingering over hers for a moment longer than necessary. "Here, open the door." and i close the taxi door.

But as I turn around, I find her struggling with the keys, her brows furrowed in concentration.

With a sigh, I step closer, gently taking her hands in mine. "Can't do a single thing properly, can you?" I say softly, my heart pounding in my chest as I guide her hands over the key.

And as the door swings open, I can't help but feel a rush of warmth at the sight of her flushed cheeks and shy smile.

"Thanks." she murmurs, her eyes meeting mine, and I can't help but smile back at her, my frustration melting away in the face of her undeniable charm.

"Anytime..." I reply, my voice filled with affection, as we stand there, bathed in the soft glow of the porch light.

As we step inside, Y/N wastes no time in kicking off her heels and flopping onto the sofa like a starfish.

"Hey, don't fall asleep there." I chuckle, sitting down next to her.

She suddenly sits up straight, her words slightly slurred from the alcohol. "You want some beerrr... or noooot?" she asks, making me shake my head in amusement.
