-Start of Chapter 26-

"Did... did we... kiss that night?..."

There's a long silence, and panic starts to bubble up inside me. "I—I mean, sorry if that sounded weird, I just—"

Soobin blinks, his face blank. "...No."

I feel a wave of relief wash over me, but there's a tiny part of me that feels disappointed.

So I guess all those dreams were really just me being weird. Thank goodness we didn't kiss...

Although...

I wish we di-

The fuck am I saying?!?!

I realise that Soobin's eyes are on mine, "Oh-um-yeah-... g-good. I thought I- um- you know did something weird."

An awkward silence falls between us. I clear my throat and stand up. "Let's... let's go eat."

Soobin nods, also looking relieved to change the subject. "Yeah, let's go."

We walk to the kitchen, where the rest of the members are already gathered. As we enter, Huening's eyes light up with mischief.

"Hey, Y/N, nice outfit." he says, smirking. "Soobin hyung's clothes look good on you."

Soobin and I both blush furiously.

I quickly sit down, trying to ignore the heat rising in my cheeks. "Thanks, Huening." I say sarcastically. "Really appreciate it."

Beomgyu grins, nudging Huening. "Looks like you two had an eventful night."

Soobin glares at them. "Nothing happened! We were just watching a movie and Y/N fell asleep."

"Sure, sure." Beomgyu says, winking at me. "That's how it always starts."

I roll my eyes, trying to hide my embarrassment. "You guys are ridiculous."

"Noona, you want some more?"

"I'm fine thanks, Taehyun." I call out to the kitchen.

I finish the last bits of my breakfast, glancing around the table. Soobin is quietly scrolling through his phone, seemingly lost in thought.

I place my dish in the sink and turn back, only to notice that Soobin has suddenly frozen, his eyes glued to his phone. His face has gone pale. His hands gripping his phone tight, subtly trembling.

"Soobin, are you okay?" I ask, concern lacing my voice.

He quickly puts down his phone, swallowing hard. "O-oh um-y-yeah... it's nothing" he says, but the unease in his voice is unmistakable.

"What is it?" I take a step closer, trying to see what's bothering him.

"It's nothing, really." Soobin insists, but he avoids my gaze, his fingers tapping nervously on the table.

A sudden ding makes me pause.

"Oh my phone is switched on finally!" I say walking into Soobin's bedroom.

I reach out for my phone charging on the bedside table and turn it on.

Instantly, I see over 20 missed calls from yesterday, all from Hana, and over 30 from Seojun.
