-Start of Chapter 31-

Hana's POV

I tiptoe into Unnie's room, trying to be as quiet as possible. She is curled up in bed, looking so pale and sick. Last night was awful. Her fever was really high, and I was scared we might have to go to the hospital. 

Luckily, she is sleeping now, her breathing steady.

Seojun called earlier to check up on her.

Carefully, I change the cooling patch on her forehead. I hope it will help bring her fever down. I brush her hair away from her face and sigh. My phone buzzes again and again in my pocket, reminding me of all the mean things people are saying online.

I step back and check my phone. Articles, tweets, and comments – all filled with hate for Y/N. It makes me so mad. 

Why the fuck hasn't HYBE said anything yet?!?! Why are they letting Unnie and Soobin oppa go through this alone?!?!

Scrolling through another nasty article, I feel my anger rising.

Who the fuck do these people think they are?! I swear to god if I ever meet them, I'll actually smash their head onto their phone screens!!

Like bitch wtf?!?! You can't date a fricking idol so you hate on a person for being fucking friends?!?!

I mean... are they friends thou-

Nope. Wrong time for shipping. I need to do something about this.

I relax my fist I didn't even know I curled up in frustration.

I look through my contacts, my fingers hovering over Soobin's name...

He hasn't picked up Unnie's call for weeks now... He probably won't pick up mine.

I scroll again before clicking on a name.

I bring my phone upto my ear.

Huening Kai answers after a few rings. "Hello? Hana?"

"We need to talk." My voice is sharper than I intend, but I can't help it. I'm so angry and worried.

"Um, okay... What's up?" He sounds hesitant, like he's expecting a storm, and well, he's right.

"What's up? Really?" I take a deep breath, trying to control my temper. "Why hasn't HYBE released a statement about Y/N Unnie and Soobin oppa? The hate is getting worse every day, and Unnie is really sick because of all this stress!"

Huening Kai pauses. "I... I understand, Hana, but these things take time. The company is probably figuring out the best way to handle it."

"Figuring out?! It's been weeks! People are tearing Unnie apart online, and Soobin oppa too! This isn't just some rumour. It's affecting their health and lives!"

He sighs. "I know it's hard, but there's a lot of factors to consider. We can't just rush a statement. It could make things worse."

I feel my frustration boiling over. "Worse? How can it be worse than Unnie getting death threats and being too sick to get out of bed? HYBE needs to protect their artists, not leave them to deal with this alone!"

"I get that you're angry, Hana" he says quietly. "But you have to trust that we're doing everything we can. It's not as simple as it seems."
