-Start of Chapter 27-

My hands tremble, my eyes widening with every word. No... fuck...

I can't tear my gaze away from the screen. The photo of Soobin, the rain, the hug—it all feels surreal.

H-How did this happen? 

I swipe through the article, hoping for some explanation, but the words blur together in my panicked mind.

The taxi hits a bump, jolting me back to reality. I need to get home. Now.

The rain continues to drum against the windows, matching the frantic rhythm of my heartbeat. I can barely think straight as I click on Hana's number, my fingers trembling so much I almost drop the phone. 

She picks up on the first ring, her voice an anxious hiss.

"Unnie! Finally! Where have you been?!"

"Hana, what is all this? I just saw the article!" My voice is high-pitched with panic.

"Unnie, this is bad. People are going nuts trying to figure out who you are! You've got to get home right now." she says, her tone urgent and pleading.

"I'm on my way. Ten minutes." I manage to say, my mind racing.

"Hurry." she insists before the line goes dead.

I shove my phone back into my pocket, my thoughts swirling in a chaotic mess. 

A scandal involving Soobin and me? How could this have happened? 

The photo keeps flashing in my mind, the rain-soaked image of Soobin's face clear and recognizable, while mine remains obscured.

D-Does Soobin know?... Will this affect his image?... It will won't it... Yeah... A lot.

Fuck... I fucked up...

I take out my phone to text Soobin about this but my fingers hesitate, stopping before they can type anything. I sigh in resignment, closing my phone again.

As the taxi speeds through the city streets, the rain outside seems to intensify, mirroring the storm inside me. 

I take a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves, but the anxiety only grows with each passing second.

Finally, the taxi pulls up in front of my building. I pay the driver and practically leap out, running to the door. Before I can even ring the doorbell, Hana flings the door open, her face a mask of worry.

"Unnie!" she exclaims, pulling me inside. "Are you okay? What happened last night?"

I sigh, taking off my shoes, "I.. I went out for a park yesterday but it started rauning... And I was standing there in the rain and I saw Soobin coming..."

"But- But why was he hugging you?!" Hana's voice is a mix of concern and confusion.

"Cause I was... c-crying..."  I admit, my voice barely above a whisper.

Hana grabs my shoulders, making me face her, "Crying?! Why?!"

I gulp, looking away, "My... My father... he texted me yesterday... Threat..."

A loud gasp escapes her mouth, her eyes widening in shock.

"A-And when he came... I-I completely broke down. I couldn't control myself and he hugged me trying to comfort me..."
