Chapter 8: A dinner for two

AN: SO this isn't about the chapter I just need y'all to tell me whether I should make a chapter about Uzi, lizzy, thad, N or just stay with J and V. Anyway, it's been around a day since the hike, so that's it for now, hope you enjoy the chapter!!

V'S POV!

(As soon as Uzi finishes explaining what happens I snort, Barely being able to contain my laughter, "pfft hahah!" Uzi looks at me with a blank look on her face Lizzy turns to me as she says "oh my God V!" she pauses and Uzi looks relieved that Lizzy was on her side, Lizzy continues "you should've laughed harder" then the only thing I could see was Uzi leaping on Lizzy like a cat or something like that.

Time skip: 10 minutes

We managed to get Uzi off of lizzy as she was filming Uzi, N then picked her up and said "alright buddy, you've done enough!" he says softly with a smile, I turn to Lizzy and I say "Liz you got a few scratches on your visor" she places her hand on the big scratch and says "hm, I guess I'll go get treated for rabies" Uzi heard that and almost leaped on Lizzy. thankfully things calmed down after some time, because Thad had made some food cooked, we all sat down. I look at my plate and sigh, I take it and stand up as I say "i'm gonna go eat on the roof, I heard that the stars are really pretty right now." everybody nods and I leave them as they chatter.)

J'S POV

TW: cigarettes.

[I hold a cigarette between my index finger and my middle finger as I place it against my lips and the tip of it lights up a bit. I pull the cigarette away and I blow the smoke out of my mouth, until I hear steps and I discretely hide the cigarette, until I hear V's voice "oh hi J!" I relax and I take the cigarette from under my hand as I reply "hey V" I see V sit down next to me with a plate in her hands, "what makes you come up here?" I ask as she replies "oh you know how I don't really like to eat near people" which leads me to wonder why she's with me of all people, "so then why are you here with me?" she smiles and says "I guess I just like your company, and I trust you the most" I immediately feel my visor heat up a bit as I turn away replying "cool cool"

V then asks "why are you here, hm?" I look at the sky saying "yesterday the hike was horribly stressing so I need some time to calm down" she nods, I place the cigarette on my lips again and the tip lights up, V then says "hey J?" "hmm?" I reply as I pull the cigarette away from my mouth and blowing the smoke out, V continues as she asks me a question I knew I was gonna have to reply to eventually "why don't fly anymore?" I take some time to process what I'm gonna say, so I decided to give a blank lie "I, ummm, got bored of it" V seems to see right through my lie and replies "I doubt it, you used to fly literally everywhere." I reply "fine my wing is defective." V seems to be take a back as I look away, a few seconds later she says "oh, could I see?" I murmur "fine, but don't tell anyone" I sigh as I open my wings revealing a wing that had some metallic feathers that were a bit longer, and others that were shorter, and not in a good way! I look away as I say "I know, my wing is really ugly-" I feel shock as I feel V's warm hands as she examines my wing, I cross my arms and I blush slightly.

After a few minutes of her examining my wing she says "well all of the more important feathers are there, but what lets your wing move is a bit underdone, don't worry though! you just need to move it, and make it a bit more used to flying again!" I turn to V as she pulls away from my wing and I say jokingly "since when are you smart?" she chuckles. we lock eyes and I can feel my visor heating up as I turn away and I get up stretching my wings and arms as I close my wings saying "anyway, I'm gonna go to bed" V then says "already?? it's not even midnight!" I chuckle slightly and I say "I'm really tired. that hike took all of my energy" V then says "oh ok." I walk away and I go back into the cabin entering our room as I crawl up into my bed and I slowly fall asleep into a deep slumber. The last words in my mind are 'I need to tell V')
