//[J'S POV]//

I stood there, looking in the mirror of the bathroom. I was wearing a black, short, and ever-so-slightly tight dress. It felt weird to wear something other than my usual attire, but I suppose this wasn't a work-related party and I would have to wear something else. I leaned forward a tad to look at my hair briefly, adjusting it here and there. I wanted to look as nice. My mind told me to tie my hair up six times or something bad would happen. What would happen? I wasn't sure, but my mind stressed me out and I did it. Eventually, I lost count and had to restart multiple times. Once I'd finally done it, I tied a bow on my pigtails and made it poof out a bit so it looked more visible. I guess I was ready for the party. Appearance wise, I mean.

Once I was done, I stepped out of the bathroom. I glanced at V's side of the room, almost hoping for her to be there and say something along the lines of 'Hey, J! You look nice!!' ..But she wasn't there. As usual. I felt my chest tighten up, however that worked. I sighed before turning away and sneaking back up to the roof. I needed to have some time to mentally prepare myself for this party.

While I was up there, I felt my mind get swarmed with questions like 'why are those dipshits hosting a party? and why are they inviting me? It's not like they like me. Not that I like them either... pfft... absurd.' I hugged and held my knees close to my chest. My tail flickered as I started to zone out. The sky was especially pretty tonight. If only V was there to see it- shut up!

I must have zoned out for a while because I got snapped back to reality when I saw guests already arriving and music playing. I peeked to see who it was. Oh, some more toasters and idiots. Great. Was I really agreeing to spending time with drones like these? Not that I had anything better to do. Shit got boring up here. Besides, I needed something to distract myself with. I got up slowly, my tail swaying softly from one side to another as I walked towards the edge of the roof and snuck into my room through the window. I guess it was time for me to join the party.

~|| V's POV ||~

I was walking around, kicking some sticks when I remembered I had that one party to go to. I wasn't excited but I wasn't negative about it. What had caught my attention most was the fact that Lizzy, and the toaster decided to host a random party for no reason. The card had barely any information. I didn't care though, what was that info gonna help me out with? Definitely not killing. I rushed back to the cabin to go change into something more formal or whatever. I was just gonna be lazy and throw my prom dress on. Who had time to plan out an outfit for ONE party?

I was in my room and had the red dress on. I smoothened out some of the wrinkles on it and flipped my hair because I'm just that awsome. I heard the music starting, which drew me to the door and made me open it and peek through it. Not that many drones were here, but just enough to have a banquet. I wasn't planning on eating much today, though, I'd already eaten enough prior.

I came downstairs and was greeted with loud music and loud chattering. Some drones were bickering, some were laughing. I saw a few of my friends and waved, but I didn't feel in the mood to talk to them that night. Lizzy approached me with a cup that seemed to have petrol in it. I didn't expect them to include booze into this, but was I complaining? no. Lizzy handed me a cup and spoke up "What's up, V? You look so prettay in that dress." Her gaze drifted up and down, almost checking me out. I smirked and flipped my hair. "Of course, I do! I always look pretty in this." I responded proudly, Lizzy chuckled and we started to talk.

Everything was going great until I saw a familiar figure.

My smile dropped and my weird mechanical heart almost stopped. It was J. I wasn't surprised to see her in the party, but I wasn't pleased to see her either. My grip on the cup tightened a bit as J saw me and we locked eyes. It felt tense. I didn't like looking at her dark yellow eyes.. not anymore. Why would I? Not after what she's said to me..

A party with someone you used to 'like' is never something fun. I've sadly encountered myself in too many situations like those. Doll being an amazing example for that. Whatever, I'll just need to avoid her throughout the entire party, right? nothing too hard!!

A/N: uhhhhhh.... I'm changing my writing style a lot if you guys couldn't tell. I'd like to think that I've gone a long way with my style and have improved. I mean, look at the first chapter of this fic and then look at this one. I'd say I'm doing well with my writing. I'll try to experiment with different POVs to give a better view on the story later on. Sorry for torturing yall and making you wait so long. Mb mb😔
