Chapter 18: A minor inconvenience..!

A/N: WOAH! what's this foreign feeling!? motivation, perhaps..??


[-J's POV-]

Oh, great! She's ignoring me! I thought, sighing a bit. My tail twitched in irritation, but it wasn't directed towards her. It was towards me. How could I have said something like that? Couldn't I have just accepted that I.. that I did want to kiss her? Why must you be such an Idiot, J!? My mind swirled around with thoughts like these. I listened to others talking to me, trying to pretend like I cared enough to pay attention. I didn't, though. I was in the room, but I also wasn't there. My mind was the only world I was in, at the moment.

I stole glances at V, my heart felt a wave of guilt wash over it every time I saw her look at me and turn away. She really must hate me, huh..? Who wouldn't after being told that, though? I certainly would!

~!N's POV!~

I kept a close eye on J, since I was 'assigned' to her. I saw her stare at V, mostly as if she was zoning out. It worried me. Every time they looked at each other, V would just turn away and go back to what she was doing, almost coldly. I frowned at the sight. I didn't like seeing those two be so distant with each other, even if it was the first time this happened. I still hated it. I felt as if it was important to let the others know, so I pulled out some dinosaur walkie talkies that my friend, Shelly, gave me. 

I pulled the antenna up and clicked a button. I then made boopy noises, like in the movies! I put the walkie talkie close to my mouth and spoke on it. "BEEP BOOP! N talking here, haha! ..uhh... I just wanted to let you all know that V and J are ignoring each other. Mostly V, from what I saw. Over." hehe, I felt like a spy from those super cool animes Uzi showed me!!

The walkie talkie thingy magig that N gave us rang a bit, it sounded like some dinosaur or whatever it was. I then heard N's voice, I sighed a bit. He must be acting like a spy again... I thought to myself. But the second I heard him mention V and J ignoring each other, I imediately started paying attention. I kept an eye on V, seeing how she indeed was ignoring J. I didn't like J at all, but I sure as hell knew that V cared a lot about her. I don't like to see my gurlfriends upset. What kind of friend likes that..? actually, scratch that. I know A LOT of drones that like that.

I took a sip from my cup, watching V awkwardly avoid J. It was almost embarrassing to watch. I mean, who avoids someone like that? If you're gonna ignore someone, put your heart and soul into it. Don't do a half-ass job! Although... this probably wasn't a good time to be thinking about that. This was, according to N and Thad, a get-J-and-V-to-be-friends-again situation. I pulled Uzi to the side and told her about what was going on.

"Should we start the games then?" She asked, her voice bitter as ever. I shook my head, rolling my eyes. "No. J and V aren't 'BoOzEd uP'." I said, mimicking Uzi's voice when finished my sentence. Uzi scoffed and crossed her arms before turning away and grumbling some things under her breath. I rolled my eyes at her before yanking her back into the crowd and saying "Just figure something out for now!" she was not happy about being yeeted like that, to say the least.

I was pissed that Lizzy just threw me on the spot like that. But I guessed I was gonna have to do this myself, like always. I kept a close watch of who J interacted with and who V interacted with. Maybe I could get the groups to interact with each other..? no. They clashed with each other too much, or whatever. How the hell could I fix this? hmm.. Maybe I could try to get some of the guests in on this whole plan thingy. I could tell them what was going on and get them to talk about J or V. They could say whatever, just as it wasn't throwing shade at them (Which I wasn't excited about. I would've loved to throw shade at those two.)

I pulled some drones aside. They were from my band club at school, Miku, Rin, Len, and some other dudes that I'm too lazy to mention. Miku looked at me with a slightly confused but curious expression, she then spoke up "hm? what do you need?" I stared at her for a sec, gathering my thoughts. I wanted to try and get the whole explaining thing over with, ASAP. Once I managed to get my ideas in check, I started to spill the tea on them. Rin and Luka looked very invested in the whole thing while Miku... she just looked like she was happy to be there.

"So, I need you guys to help me out." I sighed, "you can count on us, Uzi!" Said Len, cheerfully. I rolled my eyes, he was very loud. Too loud for my liking. I then went on to explain what I wanted them to do. "So, I need you guys to go over to which ever one you want and make up a random story about the other or just say stuff about them. Try to urge them to talk to each other, DISCREETLY!" I paused and shook my head lightly "I know how you are when I ask you to do something discreet."

Luka looked a bit thoughtful before nodding and giving a small thumbs up, Miku and Rin were already whispering to each other about what to say. They were mostly gossiping though. Ugh, annoying. I then pushed them onto the crowd, wow, a lot of drones are getting pushed into the crowd today. Welp, time for this plan to go into action. If it doesn't work, I will crash out.
