Chapter 10: a nightmare turned into a dream

in this au J has recurrent nightmares of something (has to do with her lore in the au) anyway, this is a long awaited chapter :) so enjoy

J'S POV

(I open my eyes as I see myself in a void, My eyes widen in a panic as I try to call out V's name, but nothing comes out of my mouth, I twist and turn in a panic, tears forming in my eyes, my tail swivels around as It wraps itself around me, I slowly see the void 'consuming' me of some sort, I don't see my feet anymore I try to scream one more time, as I close my eyes slowly. A single tear flies down my face.

I open my eyes quickly as I sit up from my bed, gasping for air. I'm in my room, I turn to V's side, but she's not there. I sit up and I grab a box (C!garette box) and I move over to the window as I open it and I climb onto the ceiling, my tail moving quietly, I see A figure in the sky flying, It's V! I think to myself, she's so pretty.. I shake my head quickly and I scramble myself up to the ceiling, the figure stops and waves, she saw me. She flies down and lands as she says "Hi J! why are you awake? " I sigh and I say "couldn't sleep" she nods as I sit down in a criss cross, she sits down next to me and says "hey, J?" I turn to V "hm?" V then says "how are you feeling?" I reply "tired" she nods saying "ah, same" I turn to V, I wanna tell her I like her but I don't know how!

V stands up and stretches her arms as I watch her and V says "J, wanna fly with me?" I look down as I reply "V, I can't, remember?" V looks away and after some time she reached her hand out to me and said "grab my hand" I'm quick to ask "why-" V then cuts me off saying "JUST GRAB IT" this catches my off guard so I grab her hand as I get up, she grabs my other hand and opens her wings, leaping into the air, this scares the shit out of me and forces me to open my wings out of instinct, the wind flies through me hair, as V looks at me with calm eyes and a mischievous grin, we stop after some time. I look around as V snaps me out of it and says "you're flying!" I feel confused as I look at my wings, and they are keeping my from falling, I then look at V, she's not holding my hands..wait- I'M FLYING!!)

V'S POV:

(I see the joy in J's eyes, which makes me smile. we stay there for some time until J pops up with a question that caught me off guard "what would you think of someone who likes you? like how would you feel about them liking you?" I think for some time, and J continues "like, for example; I think anyone who would like me like that is dumb and an idiot" I feel offended as she says that, and a reply escapes my mouth "don't call me dumb!' I immediately cover my mouth, I see J slowly turn to me with shock. Fuck

After what feels like an eternity, J's eyes soften and she says "V..I like you too"  I move my hands away from my mouth slowly in shock, and what happens next makes my heart skip 10 beats)

THIRD PERSON POV (mostly about V :3)

{J pulled V in and kissed her (AN: the kisses are all with consent, I just feel like I just put that out there >:]) V felt her mechanic heart beat faster than ever before, and for what felt like forever J pulled away and V hugged J. V then noticed the sun starting to rise and said "the sun is rising. we should head back inside" J nodded I agreement and they both landed on the ceiling and snuck into their room, J entered the bathroom, V assumed so that J could change into sleeping clothes. V then shrugged and after two minutes J came out, her hair was down. V felt herself blush a bit, she'd never seen J with her hair down! J then got into her bed and V started heading for the door until J asked "where are you going?" V replies "I can't sleep right now so I'm gonna go downstairs for some time" J nodded. V turned off the light and closed the door, she sat down on the couch and grabbed the phone that Lizzy had given her as a gift, she started scrolling on an app called tiktok, after watching memes for around an hour. Reality hit her, she kissed J! }

A/N: y'all this was a very much awaited chapter, sorry if it's shorter than usual though, I didn't know how to write this chapter so I had to kind of search my non-existent brain, and ended up rushing this, anyway hope you enjoyed it!!
