She was dirty, injured, hungry, and her already frayed nerves had been stretched even further by Whitebeard.

She barely parried Kizaru's punch. She breathed deeper.

Akainu walked slowly nearby without much involvement.

She looked at him out of the corner of her eye, but was quickly brought down to earth. She had to defend herself.

"You're a coward, Ace," Akainu said loudly. "The entire Whitebeard crew, instead of bringing things to an end, you are running away like scared rats."

Leona cursed under her breath as she received a punch to the shoulder. She rolled to the left at high speed, moving away significantly.

"Do you still want to fight, Leo? " Borsalino asked, standing at a considerable distance.

"Yes," she said through her teeth. She wrapped metal around her arm. And she set off.

" Whitebeard's vaunted crew turned out to be a bunch of cowards. Nothing more," Akainu continued. "That's what you are. A perfect crew of cowards for a cowardly captain. Whitebeard is old and inept. His era is over."

Leona ducked away from the blow, Kizaru's leg passing over her face. She hit it with a metal-covered fist.

"You can insult me," Ace growled, turning around and charging at Akainu. "I do not care. But I won't turn my back on insulting my captain!"

A jet of fire hit Akainu, closely followed by Ace. They started exchanging blows.

"Come back, Ace! Back off!"  Whitebeard shouted, swinging his naginata.

Because of his recklessness, he will die now. And he will bring death to others.

Leona felt her heart stop when the next moment she looked over, she saw Akainu walking towards Luffy.

Her hands shook. She felt a sting. She ignored Kizaru and moved towards them.

Akainu was getting closer to Luffy. She didn't care about anything. She had to be with him. Now.

She was running at great speed, she couldn't feel the air in her lungs. On the other hand, Ace also started rushing towards Luffy, he was much closer.

Leona raised her hands. She was hit by Kizaru's light beams. Excruciating pain immediately struck my right hand and arm. She felt like her side was being burned. She staggered and continued to stand bravely.

"You didn't really think I'd just let you go," Kizaru's voice rang out somewhere in the distance.

She was gasping for breath. She pressed her right hand to her side, not stopping despite her wounds.

Akainu was about to hit Luffy when Ace stood in front of him and covered him with his body.

The world stopped. Leon's eyes widened in horror. Her attention was solely focused on Akainu's fist approaching Ace's back. Her brother.

Her little brother.

Luffy tripped, falling backwards. He looked at Ace in shock.

Her little brothers.

The roar echoed throughout the battlefield. With Leona's voice, the metal went crazy. The weapons were bending. The naval base was cracking. Ships were breaking.

"STOP!"  Her voice rang out above the people's screams. It was an absolute order.

The naval soldiers began to fall. She activated her Kings Haki.

She was terrifying. She was strength, the goddness of war.

She just looked at Akainu's fist with wide eyes. On him.
