For the past six weeks, I have felt lost and directionless, longing for my father's presence. Despite my prayers for his healing, it seems that they have gone unanswered by heaven, and he quietly passed away.

My stepmother, who wanted to rule the business, made her way, and my two stepsisters acted as if they owned the entire place and were unfriendly to me. They seemed to have lost touch. I wasn't there to care for the business because I was with my father the whole time.

I'm also tired of asking a question to Arnold about him having an affair with Sarah. I don't want another rejection. The pain I have now is enough for me to stand for a while, and I don't want to add more to that.

His suppose to be here fifteen minutes ago!"

"Sit down, Sarah, and act decently!"

"Judge Caladios will be here shorty, Madame," tugon ni Atty Francisco kay Emelda.

Today is the reading of my father's last will and testament.

I choose to wear all white because this is what in my mother's last will.

"Ugh, I need a drink."

"Sit down, Elloida!" Galit na boses niya.

I never call Emelda any names. I choose to call her by her name, Emelda.

It was my choice. I only had one mother and will never have another again. Emelda was okay with that. It will solve the confusion, according to her, and that works well.

"Judge Caladios is coming up," bulong ni Samantha sa akin.

Emelda is sitting next to me, while Sarah and Elloida are sitting across from us. The head chair is reserved for Judge Caladios, and our attorneys sit behind us.

I have Samantha and Atty Philip, behind me.
