I plaster my best smile when I finally face Saber. She was dolled from head to toe. 

Iniba niya ang kulay ng buhok at naging ash blonde na ito. Naka skinny white jeans, powdered baby blue na ladies polo at naka white Nike running shoes. She's stunning like the first time I saw her back then.

Napansin ko agad ang maleta niya sa gilid. Inakyat ito ng isa sa mga tauhan ni Glenn kanina.

"So, what I mean is, I personally came here for the work, Glenn." Saber glanced at me quickly before moving closer to Glenn's side.

Pasimple kong kinuha ang plato ko na may lamang tinapay na pinalamanan ng kalamay. Mas mabuti na mag-usap na muna sila at aalis na lang ako. Tutal labas naman ako pagdating sa negosyo nila.

"Where are you going?" Glenn looked at me as I tried to sneak out behind him.

Napatuwid ako sa sarili na bitbit ang snacks. Taimtim ang titig niya, at mukhang iritado. 

"Uhm, sa kabila na ako, para makapag-usap kayo."

"You're not going anywhere, Erykah. Stay here." He firmly said and moved next to me. "Sit down and eat your snacks. You're not going anywhere. . . Dito ka lang."

My mouth parted slightly. 

It was a command, and I had no choice but to sit back down. Glenn sat down beside me, acting as if Saber did not exist around. 

"And why do you have to come here, Saber? Sinabihan ko na si Bryce na pupunta ako sa BV bukas." Kinuha ni Glenn ang lemon juice at nilagyan ang baso ko nito, at sa kanya.

"I want to personally come here, Glenn. Wala naman siguro masama 'di ba? Hindi naman ako ibang tao." Saber's voice grew weaker, and the dismay on her face was unmistakable.

I felt like my jaw would drop again if I looked at her. 

Bahala na nga sila! Pero naaawa ako sa kanya. She was still standing in front of us uninvited. Ni hindi nga inalok ni Glenn na ma upo siya.

"You can join us, Saber. Gusto mo ba ng kalamay?" Kurap ng mga mata ko. Ako na ang nag imbita sa kanya dahil mukhang walang plano si Glenn na gawin ito.

Glenn looked at me annoyingly. His jaw clenches.

"You can leave the documents and the rest of the records. Ipapahatid kita kay Manong pabalik." Walang ekspresyon na tugon ni Glenn sa kanya.

"Pero, nandito na ako. I can help you with the other projects that wasn't explain by my father, Glenn," desperadang tugon ni Saber sa kanya.

"There's not much to discuss, Saber. And besides, I know the job. You don't need to do anything. I'll report tomorrow."

Napatingin si Glenn sa akin at binilisan ko agad ang pag subo ko sa tinapay. Napalunok ako dahil nabibilaukan na, at tipid siyang ngumiti.

"Pero hindi tayo nagkakausap! Hindi mo ako kinakausap, Glenn... Kaya ako pumunta rito para personal kitang makausap dahil iniiwasan mo ako sa trabaho... And you being away again like this with Erykah, I don't think we could ever talk."

I snapped at Saber's words and paused. Saber's eyes were begging for Glenn, and Glenn couldn't even look at her.

Labag man sa loob ko ay tumayo ako para ibigay ang oras na ito sa kanilang dalawa. Hindi ako manhid at nakakaramdam ako ng inggit kay Saber.

She's Glenn's past, and it's obvious that Glenn somehow still has unsolved feelings toward her. The first time I saw Saber at Glenn's family gathering, I already knew that she was the reason why Glenn had to pretend that time that he was married to me.
