Severus looked down at his child, who lay on his pillow, looking back up at him. "You think I'm crazy for trusting him?" He asked but only got a gurgle in response.

Harry had left 30 minutes ago, so he had to prepare for his first class. Standing, he accioed Skye's bassinet and placed him inside. He pushed it over to the door that led to his office and checked to make sure there wasn't a student or teacher or, worse, Dumbledore waiting for him in there before he pushed the bassinet inside and positioned it beside his desk.

He loved how his area was set up. His class was connected to his office, which was connected to his Living quarters. He got the privilege because he was the potion teacher and had to stay close to watch his potions when he made them.

Severus cast a quick charm over the bassinet to keep the temperature stable and cool, then a silencing charm so that only he could hear Skye if he cried, and then an alert charm to notify him if the baby needed anything while in class. He knows he shouldn't leave his child alone for so long, but he doesn't have anyone else to watch him.

He grabbed his papers and went through the door to his class just as the students filed in. His first class was second-year Hufflepuff and Ravenclaws. He placed his things down and waited for everyone to be seated before he spoke.

"Today, you will be brewing a healing slave; it is on page 405 in your textbook," He said and watched as the students got to work. He walked around and ensured they were following instructions and not messing up.

He spent the day going back and forth between his classroom and his office to check on Skye every chance he got. He was in his last class of the day, a double potion with Slytherin and Gryffindor. He sighed as he looked over what he had planned for the class.

The students came in, and Snape rubbed his forehead with his thumb and forefinger just as the students started to enter. "All right, pay attention," He said once seated. "You will be working individually to create a wideye potion," He said as he waved his wand, making the instructions appear on the board.

He sat behind his desk and marked some papers now and then, and he would look up to ensure everyone was doing their work. He caught Draco looking at him now and then and looked away each time as his godson looked worriedly at him.

They were halfway through the class when there was a loud whistle and an explosion. He looked up and saw Nevile standing next to the exploded cauldron. "Mr. Longbottom, read number 7 for me," He said, glaring at the boy as he stood and walked over to the trembling boy.

"S-stir three t-times c-clockwise," The Gryffindor stuttered out.

"The color of your potion indicates that you stirred it three times counterclockwise," Snape said before he paused and looked at the door, hearing Skye cry. "Since you seem to have lost the ability to read, you have a week detention with Filch and a 24-inch essay about why it is important to read the instructions while making a potion," He said.

Turning around, he realized he had turned to head to his office before he realized he was missing a student. "Where is Potter?" He asked, and Granger's eyes flicked to his office door before she looked back at him.

"He went to the bathroom," She said, and Severus narrowed his eyes and turned away.

Everyone worked silently for the rest of the class, and Harry didn't return. Snape found himself okay with that.

Class ended, and everyone left instead of Draco.

"Uncle," He called as he walked over to Snape, who was gathering his papers. "Is everything alright?" He asked.

"All is well, Draco," He said as he lifted his papers into his arms.

"Are you sure?" He asked the man to his office door.

"I'm fine, Draco; now please go," Severus said before he entered the office, slamming the door behind him. Sighing, Snape went over to his table, placing his papers down and groaning. He felt bad for talking to Draco like that.

He made his way from his office to his living quarters. He found Harry sitting on the couch with Skye in his arms. "So, Potter, you think you can skip my class?" He asked as he pulled off his outer robe and made his way over to the couch. He gently took Skye from Harry and sat beside him on the couch.

"Do you always leave him alone for classes?" Harry asked, drawing Snape's attention away from Skye.

"I do, but I normally have alerts that tell me when he needs me," Snape said, and Harry frowned. Maybe he could watch the baby while he had free periods during the day. He already took all his classes last year, passed his O.W.L.S. and N.E.W.T.S., and was now taking Potions, Defense Of The Dark Arts, Muggle Studies, and History of Magic. He had at least three free periods a day and no classes on Wednesdays. He could help.
