Severus exited the Leaky Cauldron and went down the dark streets of Diagon Alley. He entered a restaurant called Ruby's. He spotted Lucius sitting in the far corner in a booth and made his way over to him. "Is he here yet?" Severus asked as he sat, and Lucius shook his head.

"Do you know what he wants?" Severus asked, but a shadow appeared over the table before Lucius could answer.

"Brother, I didn't expect to see you here," Alexander said as sat in the booth, forcing Severus to move around till he was beside Lucius.

Severus looked over the man he was once so in love with that he ignored his friend's warnings. He was undeniably a Malfoy in every aspect but his hair; where all the other Malfoy had platinum blonde hair, his jet black stood out against his pale skin and gray eyes.

"Yes, well, Severus wanted some company today," Lucius said.

"Right, well, I need to talk to you about the kid," Alexander said, and Severus sat straighter. "I want custody," Alexander said, and Severus glared at him.

"Not happening," Severus snapped, glaring at the man. "I haven't seen you for almost two years, and you just pop up out of the blue to try and take my kid? Not happening," Severus said.

"Why do you even want the child?" Lucius asked, glaring at his brother.

"Turns out, the ministry gives quite a hefty fund to single parents with low income," Alexander said, "And seeing as I was cut from the family and required some money, I think it is a great opportunity," Alexander smirked.

"You aren't taking my child for monetary gain," Severus almost yelled, but Lucius's hand on his shoulder calmed him.

"Well, you might not have a choice," Alexander said, leaning forward, "I have probable cause to believe that my child is at risk living with you; you are, after all, fighting actively in the war, you teach, and you surely wouldn't have time to the kid, you have till the end of next month to decide since this month come to an end in four days," Alexander said before he stood and exited the restaurant.

"Severus," Lucius began, but the dark-haired man quickly got out of the booth and made his way to the Leaky Cauldron flooing home. He stepped out of the floo and spotted Draco sitting on the couch, rocking Skye to sleep while Harry was doing homework at the coffee table.

Harry looked up at Severus, who stood there for a second before going into his room and closing the door behind him.

"Draco, do you mind putting Skye to bed before you leave?" Harry asked and received a nod before he went into Severus's bedroom to find the man sitting on the bed in his underwear, his clothes discarded on the floor.

"Sev, what's wrong?" Harry asked, sitting beside the potions professor, who shook his head and gave him a tight, pained smile.

"Nothing, I'm just tired," He said before crawling under the covers and pulling the thick comforter over him.

"OK, get some rest," Harry said as he kissed the top of Severus's head, peeking out and exiting the room.
