Severus avoided Harry as much as he could for the next week. Harry spent every free time with Skye doing homework and studying in Severus's quarters. On days when He had a free period before meals, Severus would enter his living room to find Harry feeding Skye and having food prepared for Severus, too.

A little over a week later, on a Saturday, Severus woke up, went to his bathroom, took a quick shower, and got dressed in a black long-sleeve button-front and slacks before exiting his room. He went to Skye's room and picked up Skye, who was awake and wiggled as soon as he saw his dad.

"Who's ready to eat?" He cooed as he made his way to the kitchen. He used wandless magic to prepare the bottle for Skye as he cuddled him. After Skye had finished eating, he returned to the living room, looked at the clock above the fireplace, and frowned. It was ten a.m., and Harry wasn't there as he had been for the past month.

Shaking his head, Severus tried to clear his mind of Harry. He felt silly for getting so used to having the other here that it felt weird without him being here. Severus decided to go out for the day. He got Skye dressed and packed a bag before casting a glamor on himself. He exited his quarters using the secret passages he discovered years ago. He exited the castle and made his way off the grounds of Hogwarts.

He made his way to Hogsmeade, to the far edge of the little town. Just outside the town, there was a park. He had come there often when he needed space as a student. It was the first time he had brought Skye outside since he was born, and he wouldn't admit it, but he was terrified.

He cast a softening charm on the grass under a tree and sat down before pulling a baby blanket out of the bag he had brought with him. He placed Skye on it and watched as he looked around wide-eyed at all the new wonders he saw. He sat there for about an hour before he lifted Skye in his arms. He started to name things they went by around the park, even though he knew Skye didn't understand or wouldn't reply.

Before he realized they had been out for almost three hours, he quickly cast a notice-me-not charm around them before changing Skye's diaper. After that, he fed him a bottle he had prepared before leaving and burped him. When all that was finished, He packed everything away, undid the charm and left the park.

He felt relaxed after a day out with just him and his son. Just after lunch, he made it back to his quarters without bumping into anyone. When he entered, he found Harry sleeping on the couch.

Severus made his way over to the cot in the corner and placed Skye down for his nap before walking over to Harry and shaking his shoulder. Harry groaned as he turned his head to look up at Severus with glassy eyes. "Are you ok?" Severus asked worriedly as he looked at Harry's red cheeks and nose.

"I'm sorry I wasn't here this morning. I wasn't feeling good," The green-eyed male said, trying to sit up. Severus felt Harry's forehead and felt how hot it was.

He helped Harry stand and moved him to his bedroom. He laid Harry on his bed and pulled the covers over him. He went to his potion cabinet and pulled out a pepper-upper potion. He brought it to Harry, who opened his eyes slightly to look up at him.

"I don't want potions," Harry grumbled, and turning away, Severus huffed but sat beside him.

"Harry, you have to take the potion if you want to get better," Severus tried to convince him, but Harry buried himself further in the bed. "Don't you want to see Skye?" The potions master asked, and Harry nodded.

"Well, you can't see him if you're sick," Severus said; when he didn't get a response, he thought Harry had fallen asleep, but then the younger male turned over and reached for the potion.

Severus uncapped it and helped him drink it. He watched as he made a disgusted face before he laid back down. "There, you'll be fine by morning," he said, kissing Harry's forehead and exiting the room to let the other rest.
