Severus didn't see Harry for the next two days; the younger didn't go to potions class on Monday and wasn't in meals either. Severus waited in a dark alcove to catch Harry as he waited for Harry near the Gryffindor towers.

He heard Granger's voice coming down the hall and stepped slightly out of the shadows to be a little more visible, but not fully. "I mean, Snape is such a git; I can't believe he gave so much homework," Ron said, and Hermione huffed.

"While I normally love homework, this is a bit much, and you shouldn't be calling teachers names, Ron," Hermione said, and Ron snorted.

"Oh, come on, even Harry agrees that Snape is a greasy asshole git, right Harry?" He said as they became visible to Severus.

"Yeah, Sure," He said just as he turned his head and made eye contact with Severus.

Harry froze wide-eyed as he stared at Severus. "Harry mate, are you alright?" Ron asked, turning to look where Harry stared, but Snape quickly moved back into the dark alcove and through a secret passage.

He made his way to his quarters and had already packed to leave for Yule. He was going to his small home alone for his first Yule with Skye and wanted to invite Harry to go with him.

He had no more classes for the rest of the week, and the train left on Friday as classes ended on Thursday. He decided not to stick around for the last two days. He shrunk his trunk, which held all his personal belongings, which wasn't much. He never brought a lot of stuff to Hogwarts, so he could leave it all behind if he had to leave in a hurry. The trunk held all of Skye's things, though, as he knew Dumbledore would snoop in his rooms when he left for the holidays.

Once he did a triple search to ensure he had everything, he gathered Skye in his arms and used the secret passages to escape the castle. Making his way just outside the wards of Hogwarts, he apparated away, holding Skye tightly.

When he appeared in the front yard of his Skye, he immediately started crying, "I know it feels weird. The sensation will go away soon," He soothed the crying baby, who threw up all over his robe.

Severus made his way into his small one-story cottage. It had three bedrooms, all with closets and bathrooms. The living room, kitchen, and dining room were all in one large open area. When he moved in, he also added an office.

He made his way to the middle bedroom and entered. He transformed the bed into a crib and placed Sky in it. He pulled out his trunk, unshrunk it, and started to unpack. He placed all of Skye's tiny clothes in the chest of drawers and the other things neatly around the room. Looking around the room, he decided that the dark brown color wasn't fit for a baby. He waved his wand and changed it to a light blue with sea animals that moved.

Walking over to the crib, he realized that Skye was sleeping. Smiling, he cast a baby monitoring spell before leaving the room with the trunk and entering his room. He finished unpacking and made his way to the shower.

Exiting the shower, he quickly dried off, dressed, and went to the living room. He turned on the fireplace and grabbed a book before moving to the couch, and he pulled a blanket over him before settling down to read.
