Forever Beside You

Part 1

"Dunk, I'm going to propose to Zo next week on his birthday."

Dunk was currently sitting on a cafe near his university. He was with his best friend Joke. Dunk may say Joke is his best friend but he knew it was a lie. He has feelings for Joke more than a friend. But he was too late to say it now because Joke already have a boyfriend.They were together for more than two years now.

"Isn't it too soon? You guys didn't even graduate yet." Dunk said as he felt his heart broke again. Every time he sees Joke with Zo his heart breaks. But he was always there with Joke as his best friend.

"But we'll be graduating soon. I want to marry him as soon we graduated. I love him so much Dunk. I can't wait any longer."Joke said dreamily. His eyes were filled with his love for Zo.

"But you promised you would marry me when we grow up." Dunk thought. He remembered how Joke promised to marry him when they were just kids. But they were not kids anymore. Dunk was hurt to know how easily Joke forgot about his promise. But he couldn't do anything about it now. He knew how much Joke loves Zo.

"Well, do whatever you think best Joke. I'll always support you."

"I know Dunk. Thank you so much for that. You'll always be my best friend." Joke said holding Dunk's hand. Dunk's heart broke again.

"Then, I'll see you later. I should get going. My class will start soon." Dunk said standing up.

"Let me drop you at your faculty."

Joke offered. But Dunk refused. He couldn't stay anymore time with Joke. He wanted to get away from him. He was holding his tears for a long time. He couldn't hold them anymore and he didn't want Joke to see him cry.

Dunk went out of the cafe and headed to his faculty. His eyes started to tear up on the way. He let them fall freely. After a while Dunk felt like he couldn't walk anymore. So he sat on a bench at the road side.

As Dunk sat on the bench, his heart heavy with emotions, he couldn't help but feel a sense of despair wash over him. The weight of unrequited love, coupled with the knowledge that Joke was planning to propose to Zo, weighed heavily on his shoulders. More tears started to stream down his face.

Suddenly it started to rain and Dunk drenched in the rain. He cried hard as rain poured over him. He was in the rain for an half an hour.

A car came and stopped in front of him. A figure got out of the car and rushed to Dunk with an umbrella in his hand.

"Dunk, what the fuck are you doing in the rain. You'll get sick." Dunk looked at the man as the familiar voice. A familiar figure was looking at him worriedly. The face was too familiar for him. He wanted to cry again seeing the love of his life again. But he knew that was not him. The person in front of him has the same face as Joke. But he was not Joke. Dunk knew it as soon he saw him.

"Joong, what are you doing here?" It was Joong Archen Aydin. Joke's twin brother. Even though Joong has the same face as Joke, Dunk never had feelings for Joong. Dunk was one of the few people who could differentiate Joong and Joke. From the childhood Joong and Joke tried so hard to outsmart Dunk but always failed.

"I should be the one asking that. Why are you in the rain crying?" Joong asked as he took Dunk's hand in his. They had turned cold due to the rain. Joong rubbed his hand on Dunk's making them warm.

"You can always tell when I'm crying." Dunk said smiling at Joong. But his eyes filled with tears again betraying him.

Joong understood that Dunk didn't want to tell anything right now. So he decided to not to pry anymore. But he could sense that his brother was involved.
