Forever Beside You

Part 11

When the night came they decided to light a born fire and make some BBQs. The atmosphere was filled with the aroma of BBQs and noise of the chatting of boys. They laughed, told stories, ate and drank until it was late night. All of them decided to go to their rooms as it was getting late. They put out the born fire and turned off the bbq grill.

"Dunk, do you want to take a walk on the beach?" Joong held Dunk's hand as they were ready to go back to hotel. Dunk was tired and wanted nothing but to sleep. But he felt that Joong wanted to talk to him about something. Dunk saw that for the whole evening Joong secretly glance at him. It looked like Joong wanted to tell him something but he was arguing with himself.

"Sure, Let's go."

"Dunk, Where are you going?" Ryu, who saw that Joong and Dunk wasn't coming with them called Dunk back. He didn't want to see Dunk with Joong alone. He didn't had a good feeling about that.

"We are going for a walk." Dunk said sneaking a glance at Joong. Dunk wasn't sure whether Joong wanted  to tell others where they were going.

"But it's getting late." Ryu tried to argue.

"It won't take long." Joong said and started to walk away. Dunk smiled at Ryu awkwardly and followed Joong. Ryu sighed and went to the hotel with others. He couldn't stop Dunk. Dunk has right to go wherever he wants.

Joong and Dunk walked along the shore side by side. The moonlight cast a silvery glow on the waves, and the sound of the ocean was soothing. They walked in silence for a while, the only noise being the gentle lapping of the water and the soft crunch of sand under their feet.

"Let's sit here." Dunk said as they came quite far from where they previously were. Joong nodded and they both sat on the sand. They spend a few minutes in a comfortable silence. Then Dunk decided to break the silence.

"Joong, Do you have anything in your mind?" Joong looked at Dunk. Dunk looked very beautiful as the moonlight casting over his white skin and clear features. Joong stretched his hand and touched his cheek. Dunk flinched but didn't move away.

"You are beautiful." Joong said and gazed at Dunk lovingly. To Dunk's surprise he didn't even slightly feel uncomfortable under his gaze. They both were looking at each other for long minutes.

Dunk was the first to recover and he looked away. Joong came to the reality and took his hand back. Then he started to talk.

"Dunk, You know how I feel about you right?"

"I do Joong, but-" Joong did let Dunk finish.

"No, Let me finish Dunk." Then Joong took Dunk's hand on his.

"I know you don't think of me like that. But I want to show you how much I care for you. I'm not asking you to be my boyfriend Dunk. All I ask is to give me a chance. Let me court you Dunk." Joong said looking at Dunk. Dunk was looking at Joong. He didn't know what to tell Joong.

"I- I don't know what to say Joong. This is all too much for me to take in." Dunk said. His hands still on Joong's.

"It's okay Dunk. We can take this slow. I don't want to rush you or overwhelm you."

"It's time for me to move on from Joke. I suffered because of him so much." Dunk felt his eyes stinging and filling with tears.

"I don't want to suffer you anymore Dunk. It hurts me as much as you. All I ask for you is to give us a chance."

Dunk sighed and turned his gaze towards the sea. But Joong kept looking at Dunk. Then Dunk again looked at Joong.

"Let me ask you this Joong, are you sure about this, us?" Dunk asked. This time his voice was serious than before.  Anyone would want to have a second thought. But Joong was not having any second thoughts.
