Forever Beside You

Part 2

Joong was eating his lunch at his faculty cafeteria when Pond came and sat beside him.

"Is it true that your brother going to propose to his boyfriend?"

Joong looked at Pond surprised. He had no idea how Pond got this information.

"How do you know that?"

"Phuwin told me. Apparently Dunk had told him."

"Ah.." Phuwin is Dunk's best friend. They were in the same faculty. It's only natural that Dunk told him everything. Pond and Phuwin were boyfriends. So anything Phuwin knows, Pond knows.

"So, How's Dunk?" Pond asked. Both Pond and Phuwin aware of Dunk's feelings towards Joke.

"He is hurt. And cried a lot. It will take sometime for him to make up his mind." Joong said. He sighed as he remembered how Dunk cried the other day.

"Yeah. One sided love is hard."

"I know Pond, I know it very well."

"Why don't you tell him Joong. It will help him to make up his mind." Pond knew everything. He knew that Joong loves Dunk. It's not like Joong haven't think of it. He wanted to confess to Dunk. But he was scared that Dunk may think he is taking advantages. He did not want Dunk to hate him. So he decided to stay silent.

"It may look like I'm taking advantages from his pain." Joong said. Pond didn't said anything to that. They saw Phuwin and Dunk were coming to them. So they decided to stop talking about Joke.

Dunk and Phuwin sat with them and Dunk sneezed as soon they sat.

"Did you caught a cold?" Pond asked.

"Yeah. I got caught on the rain the other day."

"Should we go see the nurse? It may get severe." Joong asked worriedly. Dunk was fine in the morning so Joong didn't thought that he would catch a cold. So he felt bit guilty about it.

"Relax. I'm fine. I have medicine at home." Dunk said. Joong nodded.

"Okay. Call me if you want go see a doctor."
Dunk nodded to Joong and promised he would call him if needed.

They were talking about their day when they saw another two figures were approaching them. Dunk flinched seeing Joke coming to them with his boyfriend. He grabbed his spoon tightly. All the others noticed that but didn't said anything. Joong looked at Dunk sadly as he couldn't do anything to help Dunk at the moment.

"Hey guys, is it okay if we sit here?" Joke asked very politely.

"Bro, Don't be so polite. We are all friends. Take a seat." Pond said showing the seats beside them. Phuwin and Joong smiled at them. Dunk looked at them for a moment and smiled at them then again looked at his plate.

"Dunk, are you sick? You look pale." Zo asked and Dunk almost choked on his foods.

"Wha- ah no Zo, I'm fine. It just a cold. I got caught on the rain the other day." Dunk said trying to fake a smile.

"Why didn't you call me if you didn't had an umbrella." Joke asked. He was genuinely worried about his friend.

"It's okay Joke. I met him before rain got heavy." Joong said. Then they started to talk about random things and continue their lunch.

Dunk was having a hard time hiding his tears. His heart hurt every time he saw Joke and Zo been lovely dovely. He wanted to stand up and leave but he couldn't. He was at the verge of crying. Joong was helplessly looking at him as he couldn't do anything at the moment.

"Ai shiaa" Everyone was startled with Phuwin's scream. Pond even spilt his drink.

"Babe, why did you screamed like a wailing banshee?"

"Dunk, we have a class, hurry up. Let's go." Phuwin said standing up and dragging Dunk with him. Dunk looked at Phuwin confused but stood up with him.

"Guys, we'll see you later. We can't be late to this class. Professor is very strict. I'll see you in the evening babe." Phuwin said and leave the table with Dunk. Dunk only had time to say bye to Joong.

"Phu, we don't have any class. Why did you dragged me like that?" Dunk asked as they came out of the cafeteria.

"I thought you wanted to get away from there."

"Yeah.. I did." Dunk said and sighed.

"I noticed."

"Thank you Phu."

"When do you gonna forget about him Dunk?" Phuwin asked.

"How am I supposed to forget him when I meet him everyday Phu? I can't even avoid him. What am I supposed to do?" Dunk was frustrated at the moment. So much feelings have bottled up in his mind. He didn't know what to do.

Phuwin really understood Dunk's current feelings. But same as Joong there was nothing he could do except for giving advice. He felt sorry for his friend as he had to go through a hard time. Phuwin did his best to stay by Dunk's side as much as he can.

"Listen Dunk, You have waited for Joke so long that you may have missed people who really cared about you. May be you can open your heart to other people. You may realise that there are people who are interested in you than you think." Dunk looked at Phuwin with wide eyes. He had only opened his heart to Joke all these times. He never even thought about other people who may like him. He understood that Phuwin was right. May be he can really open his heart to someone else if he tried.

"You are right Phu. I think it's time for me to open my heart to someone else." Dunk said. But deep down in his heart Dunk knew he could never forget about Joke.

This story is not going to be a long one like previous two. I can't promise how many chapters. But will be more than 10 chapters.

It's raining here heavily. I wish I have some one take me with an umbrella.🥺🥺 I forgot to bring my umbrella. 🤣🤣🤣
