Your POV

Feathers as black as the night itself blocked my vision, along with a crimson spray of blood. My sword was thrown into the chest of a fallen archangel general and pierced through its back, felling it in one blow.

[You have defeated an enemy]

Without wasting any movement, I called upon the ambient mana that still clung to my sword and drew it back to me. The sword handle landed back in my palm just in time for me to spin on my front foot and cleave another archangel in half.

I ended up relishing in the feeling for a moment too long as three more generals appeared behind me. Just as I looked over my shoulder, Asia's shock barrier appeared over me, stopping their attacks dead in their tracks. My lips curled into a small smile, and in the next second a massive storm appeared overhead.

White bolts of lightning crashed into them all, charring and burning them with no mercy. After the deep rumbling receded, not even ash was left from their corpses.

"Issei, you need to be careful!" Hearing Asia's voice reach out to me in worry, I turned to her direction and smiled. In response, I lifted my left hand and exercised my control over mana.

[Mana Manipulation has been activated]

Asia jumped slightly as she looked behind her, only to see the hulking mass of a fallen archangel general pressed flatly into the dark ground.

"I could say the same thing to you, Asia." Pouring on even more pressure, the system enemy let out a cry of pain as blood squeezed out of every orifice it had before dying.

I flexed my left hand by curling and uncurling my fingers. The vague sensation of taking control over ambient mana had grown slightly more tangible. Whereas it felt like I was trying to grab water earlier, now it feels like I'm moving my fingers through a slightly viscous liquid. The sensation itself is still foreign to me, but after climbing these past five floors with Asia, I've gotten some great training in.

"Issei, more enemies!" Jogging to my side, Asia pointed off in the distance where I saw another four enemies approaching.

"Man, ever since we beat the mini boss on the forty-fifth floor, every single enemy we've come across has been a fallen archangel general..." Asia was preparing a spell of her own, but I held out my hand in front of her to stop her.

"Hold onto that spell for now, I've got this." Stabbing my blade into the ground, I raise my right hand and coalesce fire into my palm. The bright orange flames spun, cycling through itself before changing colors. It gained a rich blue hue that continued to grow in size before I aimed it forward.

A cyclone of blue flames spat out towards my enemies, setting most of them ablaze. As if I were aiming a fire hose, I dragged the spell in a horizontal sweep, grabbing a few of the fallen angels, but two managed to escape by flying up into the air.

"Now Asia." Before they could reach the apex of their flight, Asia called down a storm of frigid ice spears from up above. They punctured right through their wings and heavy armor as if they were wet paper.

"That takes care of them." Doing my best to ignore the multiple pings going off in my head, I turned my gaze over to Asia.
