Raynare's blank eyes stared up at the ceiling as I called the blade back into its hilt. Her blood seeped out underneath her and began to soak into her black wings. In order to not get more blood on me, I took a number of steps backwards before looking over her. She was truly dead.

Looking over at the bench I placed Asia on, she kept her eyes closed, just like I asked. I couldn't help but smile at seeing this. I was about to walk over to her and pick her up, but another idea came to me.

"You should be safe right here, but I'm gonna head back down stairs and make sure no one is left." She didn't say anything, and instead chose to nod as her reply.

I first walked up to the dismembered bodies on this floor and started looting them. I took their light swords and guns before making my way downstairs and doing the same to the other corrupt priests that I had fought. I never dreamed of having so many weapons.

With a smile on my face, I walked back upstairs to meet Asia who laid in the same position. So as to not scare her, I gently stroked the top of her head.

"Let's go home, Asia." Gingerly, I raised her body into my arms, only for her to instantly hide her face in my chest.

After securing her in a bridal carry in my arms, I began my walk outside the church. The cold night air was the first thing to greet me as I exited the building. I took a deep breath of air before sighing, letting my nerves calm down.

With the notifications of the system, it finally felt real. It was over; I managed to save Asia. It really was a shame that I had to kill Raynare. She was one of my favorite characters from the start of the show, and dare I say one of the more attractive women I'd seen in the series. Seriously, why are villains usually the most attractive?

At that thought, I shook my head wildly. Stop right there (Y/N), you just said so yourself, had you let her go she definitely would have come back stronger somehow to try and kill you. Logic over lust.

"Oh, you can open your eyes again, Asia." During my whole mental debate, I forgot to tell Asia she could look again.

Very slowly, her emerald green eyes revealed themselves to me again. With the moonlight reflecting down on her, they held a certain sheen to them that wasn't there before. She looked at her surroundings before aiming her sights back to me.

"Issei, your face. It's covered in blood..." As if her life wasn't in danger a few moments ago, Asia immediately went to worry about other people.

"Oh, really? I don't feel any..."

"It's all dried up, so that's probably why." Her small hands went to caress my cheeks to try and scratch it off. It was then I saw the crimson flakes fall to the ground. Man, I really did have blood on me.

"Not to mention your body is in horrible shape. Hold on." That familiar green light enveloped Asia's hands as she started healing the minor cuts that sprawled across my body. I could feel my fatigue vanishing as well as my strength returned to me. I was back to 100% in no time flat.

"Thanks Asia."

She smiled at me once again before placing her head into my chest. Her shoulders trembled slightly as I heard her sniff.

"Why...why did you come back for me?"

"Why? Why else? I made a promise with my friend to save her, so of course I'd come rescue you." I couldn't see her face, but I could feel how her body reacted. She started to shake even more violently as tears streamed down her eyes.
