"Hey, Asia? Yeah, I'm still at school. I'm gonna stay back for a bit longer in order to try and help Gasper, so go home ahead of me. I'll catch up with you later." After Rias left, the first thing I did was call Asia so she wouldn't be waiting for me at the school gates again. She seemed slightly sad that she couldn't do anything else to help, but reluctantly let me stay.

With that, I closed my phone and tucked it into my pocket. Alright...how do I go about this?

I talked a pretty big game, but I'm not even sure myself if I'd be able to pry Gasper out of this room. The connection he and I have isn't like the one he and the original Issei had. For starters, he doesn't even know me that well-

"Wait a second. I just realized I haven't even introduced myself to you." Like an idiot, I was going off my knowledge of the anime and expected Gasper to interact with me the same way he did Issei.

Imagine suddenly being in a room with some dude you don't know who can completely resist your powers. That'd make anyone run away in fear for what kind of retaliation would come their way, especially considering what Gasper went through.

"Sorry about my late introduction, Gasper. You probably have no idea who I am. I'm Issei Hyoudo, a second year student in Kuoh Academy. In other words, I'm your Senpai. I've gotten pretty chummy with the members of the O.R.C. which is why Rias was so comfortable with leaving you with me..."

I didn't hear a response, but his crying had toned down a lot, which I was thankful for. Taking that as a good sign, I slowly started to introduce myself to him.

"Let's see...I'm currently eighteen. I really enjoy working out and spend most of my morning going through a daily routine. I'm a lover of sports as well, specifically Kendo. Though I can't participate in it like I used to in middle school thanks to Kuoh Academy not having a male Kendo Club, I still practice it every day. Also I-"

"I..." It was brief, but I heard his voice speak up some. I kept myself quiet in order to let him speak.

"Uhm...I-I know...who you are."

"You do...?" This took me by surprise. I wasn't expecting him to have some knowledge about me, especially since I'm not a member of Rias peerage. I don't think Rias would talk about me to Gasper either really...

"Yeah...d-during the rating game. I saw you show up...and save the President."

"Oh, you saw that fight, huh?" I couldn't help but smile somewhat after thinking back to that.

"That must have been quite the first impression. Is that why you kept running from me whenever you stopped time?"

"I-I'm sorry...." I heard him shuffle inside his box as he offered another apology, and all I could do was laugh aloud.

"No need to apologize, I get it. Your first time seeing me was how I fought, which was pretty graphic might I add. Next thing you know, you're face to face with me in frozen time, which is supposedly your domain. It's no wonder you kept running away from me like that." The shuffling grew louder, and I could envision him curling up even tighter to comfort himself.

"No, it wasn't because I was scared of you...it was..." He was struggling with his words. But, after gulping, he finally managed to say what he wanted to.

"I was...in awe of you. Whenever I saw you, and how you fought...I was jealous of how you could use your power to easily..."

"Hey, with enough training, you could do the same thing."

"But...! Going outside terrifies me..."

"Yeah, I understand. I get it, honestly. But, do you wanna know what's more terrifying than that?" He went silent, awaiting my answer.
