Oh.
You can't swim?
Well, neither can I.
But we have to,
even though we can't.
So, shall we drown together?
Let's reach the dark depths of
the great ocean, exploring the vastness
of thriving life previously unknown.
The light dimming the lower we dip,
the sight of the stunning sun
fading further away from view.
Our vision blurring from the water,
the bottomless below seeming infinite,
tinted a tenebrous twilight.
I would have no sense of direction,
no guide or light around,
no way back up the waves,
as we would sink lower and lower.
I would know nothing more
than our impending doom,
with your eyes on me,
and your hand in mine.
All I would know is you and I,
the great ocean all around us,
and our hearts and minds and souls
all subjected to crushing depths.
