Nancy and Jonathan were in the front of the car with Nancy driving, Lucas, Will, and Max in the back seats and El, Mike, and Layla in the trunk. Nancy was trying to start the car but it wasn't working.

"What's wrong?" Jonathan asked 

"I don't... I don't know" Nancy said trying to start the car again

"Didn't you mom just buy this car?" Lucas asked

"Yes. I'm sure it's fine"

"Did you leave the lights on?" Will asked

"No"

"Do we have gas?" Lucas asked

"Yes! Come on!" Nancy yelled trying again

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Just stop, stop! Pop the hood" Jonathan yelled getting out of the car to check the engine with Nancy

"What the hell?" He said 

"What?"

"The ignition cable's gone" Jonathan said before hearing a engine reeving off to the side seeing Bill's car

"Get out of the car! Get back in the mall!" Layla yelled opening the trunk door

The group all ran back inside the mall and away from Billy. Mike was on his walkie talkie trying to get ahold of scoops troops and get a ride. Layla and Nancy kept searching the Russians for ammo and weapons, Nancy grabbed a pistol while Layla still had the rifle and her pistol. 

"You're gonna kill him, aren't you?" Max asked

"No, Max... we aren't gonna kill him okay?" Layla said softly

"This is just a precaution" Nancy said 

"And not just against Bill. If he knows we're here, so does the mind flayer" Will said 

"No chance that thing will drive, right?" Nancy asked referring to the car Eleven threw

"We don't need it to drive" Layla said in realization 

"We just nee the ignition cable" Jonathan said 

Everyone but Eleven went behind the car trying to push it over so they could grab the cable out of the trunk, with no success. 

"Let me try" Eleven said

"El..." Mike said

"I can do it" She said

Everyone got out of the way and let Eleven try to flip the car up right. She wasn't able to flip the car back over. "Hey... It's okay. You're just tired" Layla said comforting the young girl

"Hey everyone grab one of these" Mike said holing a gold metal stand 

Everyone grabbed one and went back behind the counter to push the car, which worked. 

"Told you. Physics" Mike said as everyone jumped off the counter with Jonathan and Nancy going to the car and grabbing the cable. 

Max, Mike and Layla went to go and check on Eleven who was digging in the trash and pulling out a coke can trying to sue her powers on it. 

"El. You okay?' Mike asked 

Max looked up to see the Mind Flayer on the glass roof of the mall "Mike, Layla" she said causing them to look up and see it too

"Jonathan!" Layla yelled at the same time as Mike yelling "Nancy!" making everyone run away

Mike, Max, Eleven and Layla all ran off to a store together while Nancy, Jonathan, and Will ran behind the car on the opposite side as the others, Lucas ran to hide near Nancy, Jonathan and Will. The Mind Flayer broke through the ceiling and landed in the middle of the mall.
