One week later*

Ariel's POV

As I sat there listening behind the glass wall to Aaron's reasoning and alibi, there was like an alarm in my head screaming, 'Bull shìt! Bull Shìt! Bull Shìt!'

The look on his face told us he was truly this fùcking stupid to think we would believe a word coming out if his mouth.

He was telling the interrogator that the only reason he was trying to steal the child was because he had missed him.

Mr. Perez, the interrogation officer, asked the exact question running through my head, "How could you miss a child that you said you've never met, therefore, you didn't even know?"

Aaron had to think about his response for a few seconds. Dumb ass.

"I feel as if there's a part of me missing. You know? Knowing there's someone our there that you had a part in creating but you don't even know them. That's unrelenting."

Now that was almost believable.

Almost.

If it were true he wouldn't have signed the papers and he wouldn't still be with that bìtch.

"That's interesting. Why did you sign the adoption papers then?"

"I didn't have the financial stability." He answered right back, like that one was practiced.

"Really? Well this tax review dating from 2010 until 2014 says other wise. You were considered one of the top paid security gaurds in the U.S. making over a quarter of a million dollars each year. After taxes." He said for good measure. "So again, why did you sign the papers if you miss him so much?"

Silence.

"I don't have all day Aaron. Why did you sign the papers!?" Mr. Perez yelled.

It was a strategy I had seen on T.V. once. If they yelled it was a good chance the perpetrators would get mad and say something that gave a break to the case.

But not here.

There was still silence. It was almost overwhelming to try and anticipate the next thing that would be said.

"What's the matter? Cat got you tongue? Or do you already  know that what you're about to say is a complete load of Bull Shìt? "

I could see his fist balling up under the table in the handcuffs which was obscured from the officer.

"I want my lawyer. I'm not saying anything else until you get me my lawyer."

"That's fine too." Officer Perez shrugged. "Besides you already said enough for us to lock your ass up for at least twelve years already. Attempted Abduction ? So go ahead, call your layer. Renege on you earlier confessions and let him change your story. So we can come back with this interrogation tape and really let the inmates begin to fuck you in the ass." Perez said in a condescending tone.

One minute Aaron was still seated trying to keep his composure the next second he exploded.

He jumped up pushed over the table screaming like a madman, "I didn't want the bloody bastard okay?! All he would've done was slow me down. Nobody making the money I make has time for a fùcking little shìtface like him! I told that bìtch to abort him when I first found out! Putting the baby on Alexander," he drawled his name. "Was mostly-" I didn't hear the rest of his confession.

Instead, I heard an intake of breath beside me, which was the first noise besides the voices of Aaron and officer Perez.

Before I knew it Alex had to be detained and escorted out of the witness room. I slowly trailed after him still wanting to know what was going on in the interrogation room.
