Ariel's POV
Shìt Shìt Shìt Shìt quadruple bypass shit.
We were in the middle of a very important merger meeting, in which Alex didn't even want me to attend considering the fact that I had been having Braxton Hicks contractions for the past two weeks. My due date wasn't supposed to be for another two and a half weeks so when the contractions came on considerably stronger this morning, I thought nothing of it. In fact I had to convince Alex not to cancel this because we actually both needed to be present for the final verification of the proceedings.
We'd gotten married three weeks before on a secluded island off the coast. because I couldn't fly and we wanted a destination wedding. We took what we could get. It was just Alex and I, and I wouldn't change a thing. We decided to have a real wedding after I give birth, to basically make his mother and my other female companions happy.
Now, getting back to the present sitting at the conference table, I will be the first to admit, I fucked up.
Big time.
It had been exactly four minutes since my last contraction and two minutes since my water broke, gushing on to the surprisingly absorbent chair cushion.
I sat there with my fists clenched and jaw taunt with the anticipation of the next contraction, which should have been within the next three minutes.
When the paper got around to me so I could sign it, I had to school my facial expression so Alex wouldn't be alarmed just yet.
A few more minutes.
When I looked up at him, I could tell he saw right through my fasçade. He just didn't know exactly what was causing my discomfort. Until the milti millionaire, supposedly geneus, sitting next to me pointed to my lap saying, "She just peed on herself!" Simultaneously, the worst pain I ever had to endure hit me like a full force train wringing the ear splitting scream from me.
Alex just stood there immobilized, while everyone around us was in a panicked state. What a husband.
"Don't just stand there fùck face, do something!" I screamed at him.
Then he went into action.
He came around the table ordering the intern of another business associate to call the hospital to let them know we were on our way.
"This is all of my fault." He accused himself once we were in the car on the way to the hospital.
"Yes. It is." I concured. "If it weren't for you and your sausage, I wouldn't be in the predicament I'm in!" I practically screamed his ear off.
"Okay babe, just calm-"
"Do not tell me to calm down! " I breathed out. "Do you have a baby trying to make his way out of your vagina!? Do you? No you don't!" I ranted. "Do you have the urge to piss out a baby right now! No! If I didn't love you so much I'd kill you. Believe that!"
"Okay sweetness, I'm sorry this is all of my fault. You'll never have to go through anything like this ever again." He sighed dejected like as we pulled up to the hospital.
If I wasn't in extreme pain I would have pitied him.

Alex's POV
Completion.
That was the emotion I felt sitting at the end of the hospital bed holding my son, while Ariel was cooing at our daughter.
