Ch 33: Amazonite

Somewhere not so far away
A whole group was gone, and the strongest of them stumbled away. His whole group was just killed by huge ice orcs.

Back with the group

Cel sat on the floor as he played with the ice bear.

''You sure letting him keep it was a good idea?"Songyi whispers to jinwoo.

Jinwoo hummed as he watched his partner play with the little guy and smiled slightly. ''he knows what he is doing, he'll be fine'' he states with confidence.

The group were still not sure, but they all prepared their meals. Cel looked at the food and frowned slightly but felt a tap on his shoulder, he turns to Jinwoo, and he held out a bowl of Cels' favorite hot meal, a chicken sandwich with fries. Cels eyes sparkled as he took it and hid it from the others ''thank you, Jin,' he grinned.

The baby bear grunts as it waddles to where they smelled food and pokes her nose into Cels arms. Cel squeaks and giggles as he flopped over and wrestles with the ice bear. Cel laughed as he held his sandwich up away from the reaching ice bear.

''Careful kid, you're gonna get your eye plucked out by those tiny claws,' a hunter spoke ''that would be a cute injury.'' Another comments. ''yeaaa....cute..'' Another mumble.

But the group chuckled

'Hey hey, guys,'' Cel sat up, holding onto the ice bear and looking at the other ''what is it?" A hunter asked.

''What?"

"How do mountains stay warm in the winter?" Cel asked.

The group tilt their heads

Cel dove into the snow and covered his head in snow

''snow caps''

Cel exclaims.

That had him receive a couple of chuckles.

''Ha! You call that a joke?" One challenges

The next thing anyone knew, they were doing the battle of dad jokes. Dad vs. not a dad.

They would laugh at the childish play.

Jinwoo would calmly watch, and his face twitched every so often when he would feel the need to laugh.

Cel held the baby up and then paused, he looks over and looked over towards the direction the entrance of the forest would be.

''You bastards!" Kim chuls voice rang out loudly.

Cel frowned as he stood up, he sees his lil ice bear growl at him. ''Shhh, it's okay,'' Cel said and pets her head.

''our team failed, we didn't have enough food or tools.....how the hell do you guys have all this equipment!?" He yelled. Cels eye twitched as he covered his ears. Even with the ear plugs, Kim chuls voice was heard through them.

Everyone stayed quiet. They all glance at Cel, Cel had been quiet after the dad joke battle. He was tired already.

''Who's threatening you!? Tell me now!" He yelled at the group and threatened them with a sword and counted down from 3.

He already had eyes on Heejin-

Cel appeared in front of Kimchul

He then swung and slammed Kim chuls across and into the field. ''Too loud'' he mumbles and sighed.
He paused and gasped

''I think I punched him too hard!" Cel exclaims.

'You think?" The group thought at the same time.
