ch 52

Cel and Jinwoo were quick to follow Adam to the office.

Cel bit his lips and looked down, he crossed his arms and huffs softly. "Upgrader..." The man whispers softly, he looked down at his arms then his hands. "Could that be a name for us?" Cel asked looking over to Jinwoo.

"Could be, tho it seems that the person can upgrade others, but not upgrading themselves, like me" Jinwoo had his arms crossed. Cel nods and leaned onto Jinwoo, his hands slithering to hold Jinwoos again, he liked holding hands.

The blonde could count Jinwoos fingers for forever if he could. He counted them before but now it's just different since they are together.

Together

Such a silly word to call them now.

They were always together.

Cel giggled at the thoughts, not knowing how Jinwoo looked at him.

"Pleasure to meet the both of you, I'm Micheal Connor, I'm the director of the federal bureau of hunters" a tall even blonder man introduced himself.

He got straight to the point, he had given sung Jin woo, immigration documents and instantly granted Cel his American citizenship back.

Cel was happy about that, kinda. He couldn't remember home.

"Thank you" Cel said bowing his head in graditude but smiled softly "however me and My Jin..." He paused and blushed "me and Sung Jin woo, would like to hear more of the information we came here for" he explains slightly. He glances at Jinwoo and chuckles sheepishly, Jinwoo only shook his head fondly but looks to Micheal.

"Is it possible for an awaken being to upgrade a hunters abilities?" Jinwoo asked holding his hands together.

"Actually, someone with such an ability is here with us" Micheal admits. Cel tapped his hand on his thigh gently as he made small popping sounds with his mouth. He waited till this

Ms Selner to come in

She was a rather beautiful woman.

"She is the only person in the entire world who can enhance others abilities , I present you
Ms Norma Selner"

Cel looked at the woman and blinked slightly. Why was she so familiar? He tilts his head and rubbed his temple, feeling Abit dizzy, but he shook it off. But that didn't go, unnoticed by his partner.

He only smiled at the woman kindly and waved his hand.

"Ms Selner, please explain the scopes of your powers" Micheal said softly.

The woman sat down and nods "alright, I see doubt in your eyes. That's okay, everyone has doubts at the start, but when they have a taste they would be begging for more" the woman smirks slightly. Cel raised a brow at that but listens.

The woman went on to explain
Her process has three stages, she didn't know how to call her powers but she could force a reawakening or  unlock ones true potential. Doing so required Alot of rest so only 3 or 4 people could get her treatment a year.

Cel blinked and thought a second, he didn't enhance his friends powers, he just replenished them. He couldn't possibly be an upgrader, then he thought of back when he rewound all those soldiers and monsters. They all are alive and living peacefully in his garden thanks to him, not to mention their abilities only doubled from before.

Oh...maybe he was?

Cel had spaced out and before he knew it, Micheal was offering them to be a member of their bureau, and end up their top priority. Least for jinwoo, Cel was already the hunters associations top priority.

Not to mention the woman wanted to lift Jinwoos limitations as well. All this was too generous, Cel raised a brow at their persistants and did not like it one bit.

He glances at Jinwoo, they seemed to be targeting him since Cel wasn't much of use to them, being apart of another agency and all.

Cel looked to the woman who held out her hand for Jinwoo to take. "Just look into my eyes and breath" she said softly. Jinwoo nods and glances at Cel, Cel nods in encouragement.

"My lord"

Cel blinked in surprise and looked down at his hand and raised a brow.

"You have another mission"

The blonde nods as he closed his eyes for a moment then looked to Jinwoo and tilts his head for a moment. He looked at their hands and huffs softly with a small pout but watched carefully, already making note of what he'll need for the Mission.

He jumps

When all of a sudden the woman started screaming.

The agents in the room pointed their guns at Jinwoo. That was something Cel very much did not like, he held out his hands, the guns glowed yellow.

Cel narrowed his eyes slightly as he clenched his fists and the guns crushed inwardly.

"Stand down! All of you!" Micheal yelled out. He flinched when the guns were crushed, he looks over to Cel. His aura spoke with disappointment rather then threat, somehow that was much worse then if it were a threat.

"My apologies" the blonde man spoke in worry. "Check on Ms Selner if your so concerned" he barks at the agents who all scrambled to the woman.

Cel sighed as he closed his eyes, he blinked then he felt Jinwoos hand on his again. Jinwoo looks to his other half and hummed "I could have handled it" he states with a small human.

"Sure, but I didn't not like the mere second of them threatening you" Cel shrugged and looked at the woman in worry. Jinwoo only sweatdrops at such a scene "I'm...uh sorry?" He spoke, unsure of what he had done.

The woman held her ears and was sweating all over.

Cel stood up slowly, he looks over to the agents who were rather tense. He only ignored them "here" he kneeled to her

"I'm sorry for the stress you must have felt" He said. He closed his hands for a moment, it glows.

He opened it and there was a Vial. "Drink this, lil something I made myself, it'll soothe you Abit" Cel grinned. Ms Selner looked at Cel for a moment, her eyes glowed for a moment.

She only gasped but smiled sadly, before taking the vial "th-thank you" she spoke softly.

Cel stood up and looks to jinwoo, Jinwoo held the ever lasting look of admiration in his usually cold eyes.

They were both escorted out.

Ms Selner pursed her lips

"He is a monarch...no doubt about it....when I looked at him, he was looking back" she mumbles and bit her lip.

"Does it mean...he's a national level?" Micheal asked.

"...I'm not even speaking about sung Jinwoo, when I say I was being stared back at " she looks at Micheal. "He has infinite darkness inside him". She shivers and sighs as she looks at the vial in her hand then opens it.

"You sure that's okay to drink?" Micheal asked in concern.

Ms Selner held the vial softly and smiled softly "I trust ...with my life"

"What do you mean?" Micheal asked.

Ms Selner drank the potion and she felt at ease, her energy and mana being restored. "You think you can keep a secret for me Micheal?" She asked.

"Of course Ms" he nods

"How old is he?" Ms Selner wondered.

Micheal blinked at the weird question.

"He is about 27 Ms" he answered.

Ms Selner chuckles softly "he is far older than that."

"Was there a mistake of a couple of years?" The man asked tilting his head.

"Try a couple hundred"
