From afar, I watched you hold another's hand,
Wishing it was me instead.

I saw  you Locking lips, your kiss, a bittersweet sting,
Dreaming it was me, in that tender fling.

"I do," you said, sealing fate's decree,
Oh, how I wish those vows were for me instead .

Your child's laughter, a storm of regret,
Yearning for a life we never had . I wished he was ours instead.

A house, a home, where memories spread, I wished it were ours, not just in my head.
Even on that rainy night when we went on our separate ways,  I wished for you to be mine.
